Great looking vintage Jack Daniels barrel house woodcut art print. This art print is a limited edition numbered 594/2000 and signed and dated by Dan Quest 1976. Art print is in excellent condition and has never been displayed, comes in it original mailing tube where it been stored for the last 41 years. Would look awesome framed over a bar in a man cave. Dan Quest is a Fine Arts graduate of Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His woodcuts have been exhibited at the Carnegie Museum, where he has won recognition in shows of international scope. His prints are to be found in many private collections, as well as galleries in New York and Cincinnati. He has designed woodcuts for book jackets and album covers, and recently completed a commission for the Ladies Hermitage Association in Nashville, TN. He was the winner of the 1975 Gallery Prints Ltd. Award in the South Central Art Exhibition.
This miniature piece of art is perfectly made. Great Native American Sacred Symbolism. I found this figurine at an estate sale where all decor and collectible pieces were from Arizona and Mi-West Native American origin. This small turtle has a geometric pattern in red and white and a center pattern in black and green. Head and tail are black. ALL glass beads. I tried to capture the opalescent look of the white beads. The weave is made with rope strands (9th Picture) and the beads are INDIVIDUALLY woven. No strands put together. Hard to tell what makes the inside shape. SYMBOLISM: The turtle is a sacred figure in Native American symbolism as it represents Mother Earth. The meaning of the Turtle symbol signifies good health and long life. The turtle has great longevity living up to 150 years. ... The hard shell of the turtle represents perseverance and protection. Size 3 1/4 x 1 3/4 and 1 1/4 high

This adorable quartet of handcrafted natural seashells frogs performing their big hit ( lets go do the hop ) :) These are very hard to find vintage souvenirs from Guam from the 1970s , try looking for frogs made out of natural seashells today and see if they even resemble the quality and the eye for details of these vintage ones.
