💙 - When you first learned about the Queer community, did you immediately realize 'That's me!' Or did you consider yourself 'a really good ally' for some time?
Oh it was immediate. For me, the path was more "you are NOT this. Fix it" to "okay. Fine. Maybe you are this. But never act on it. Know it, just don't do anything about it" to finally "Well fuck." Thankfully, I'm now a lot more comfortable with the various types of queer that I am and I love these parts of me 💜
🌈 - what's a Queer Identity, Experience, or piece of history you feel deserves more recognition?
Oh g-d there are so many underrepresented aspects of queerness (other than. Ya know. The whole kitten caboodle) that deserve more recognition. But for now, in this moment, the ones that I'm feeling particularly hungry for more on are ace folks, aro folks, trans masc folks, and trans men. I feel like these identities often get ignored and erased so I'd love to see more recognition and love for those identities (and it's this hunger that helps fuel my fics).
