Sims 2 Build + Buy Mode Hiders

Re-doing my downloads folder and decided to utilize Hat_Plays_sims hiders For some of the stuff in the game that I never use/couldn't find default replacements for. HOWEVER; there are a couple of items that I wanted to hide that weren't covered. SO, I did them myself and wanted to share them with you. If I come across any more items I want to hide that aren't covered by Hat, I will add them here.

Finding that stupid snowman file was a pain. You would think that Holiday Stuff, being the first stuff pack, would be SP1 but nooooo...

UPDATE 02/08/25: Added hiders for two Holiday Stuff build mode items: "Icy Chill Holiday Window" and "Valuewood Lumber's Justa Holiday Door". Hat has hiders for these, but they don't appear to work.

Something happened that made me want these clothes for absolutely everyone (as long as everyone is a female Sim age child or up) so I set out to make approx. 1 million meshes. It's this outfit as separates for aforementioned ages, with no jewelry, repositoried to game resources. Top is set as everyday, underwear, pajamas and athletic, while capris are set as everyday only. Everything is towniefied. Requires H&M, if that wasn't clear.

I included a hider for the teen and adult fullbody outfits, but you could also just get a default replacement.

Update 2025/03/14: Added another outfit to the post, updated the shorts mesh and important file.

Separated versions of exerciseoutfit from FreeTime (grey) and exercise_ep8 (pink) from Apartment Life. Those packs are required as these are texture referenced. There is also some preorder(?) outfit (red) that I've included.

For children, teens, (young) adults and elders. Set as everyday and athletic. Everyone gets fat morphs, adults also get preg morphs. Towniefied. The teen-elder clothes are pretty much the same all across the board, but for children I decided to make both the shirt and shorts longer, and pull the shorts up to meet the waist seam.

I also turned afbodytrackdance and afbodybreakdancer into separates. Tops are teen and up while pants are child and up. The pants use the same mesh packages as the shorts. Everything is set as everyday and athletic, pants are towniefied, tops are not.

There's a file that says REQUIRED in caps, keep that as it has important stuff in it.

Update 2024/08/02: I totally forgot! You might want the fullbody outfits hidden as it can get redundant with separates as well, or you just want them hidden regardless. So here's a hider for exerciseoutfit! No hider for trackdance/breakdancer (yet!) because it's a career and NPC outfit.

Slowly (very) but surely (not really) making my way through Seasons defaults. Did you know that these ones, for all ages, both genders and with all non-hat clones, come out to 68 (times 2, counting both 3IDR’s and property sets) resources to replace? Per hair? Anyway!

Finally done with this woo! This is a combination of defaults, add-ons and hiders for FFS clothing.

tftoptiedhalter replaced with basically just a mesh edit, I removed the necklace (compare) and reshaped the body a bit, mostly the fat morph.

tfbottomshortscuffsandals also got some mesh edits, most importantly fixing an issue where tops wouldn’t get tucked properly. (compare) I also slammed the H&M hightops on there.

Now, the reason I started this project was because I thought children didn’t have enough shorts, and this seemed like a good mesh to convert. I ended up converting it for children, adults and elders.

For the shirts, instead of converting the teen top, I made them based on the existing dresses for the different ages. Because of that, they all have a different style, but still match enough to be part of a set. Did anyone ask for this? No 😌

Shorts are towniefied but tops aren’t. Everything is decustomized, pinned to FFS, and binned with the other FFS clothes.

Lastly, I made hiders for cfbodydressshortaline, afbodydresswrapasymmetric and efbodysleevelesssack, since you might find them redundant now.

Hi Rudhira! I love your defaults so much (especially the clay hairs) - thank you for sharing your gift with the world! Can I ask whether it is possible for you to modify the hider in this post (/post/650470609864835072/) so that it only hides the male Santa cap hairs (hairhatsantaeuropean and hairsantacap)? I don't hold out hope for anyone making clay versions of those any time soon so I'd really like to hide them, but I don't want to hide everything else! Thank you! :)

Hi! Thank you! I've been trying to offer more options (or any at all) for clay hair defaults, so I'm glad it's appreciated!

For reference, it's really not that hard to modify existing hiders, just open it with SimPE and remove the stuff you don't want hidden.

Anyone remember this ancient WIP? Well, now it’s done!

yftopneohippie replaced with a mesh edit, removing the necklace, and enabling it for adults. yfbottomneohippie replaced with a shoeswap using H&M sandals, also enabled for adults. I’ve included a hider for yfbodyneohippiedress since that’s kinda useless when you can just have separates.

Update 2021/08/22: Added elder and child conversions of the skirt! Elders use the same shoes as teens and adults, children use shoes from Seasons.
