Please show me your comic script pleeaseee
I WAS THINKING ABOUT POSTING IT but be warned it is super old. like, right after barn mates aired old. so some parts are inaccurate and/or out of character. and it’s unfinished, which is why it cuts off suddenly. and i have no idea how to judge my own work, so unknown to me this is probably terrible, but hey since you asked for it i can now shamelessly post my trash. oh and this was never meant to be read like a story, more like a guide, with each line or two being one panel in the comic.
L: So, you've never fused before?P: *Sigh* No, it's... It's really scary.L: It... can be.P: Yellow diamond's soldiers... They'd fuse and it's just... It's just this big, violent concept. And the cluster prototypes...L: That's not fusion... That's...Peridot looks down, looking very scared.P: But... You and Jasper...Lapis looks away, distraught.L: You know, Peridot, I--sometimes we do things we regret, and there's no way to accurately predict the outcome of what we do...L: Unless you're garnet, of course.L: but Malachite... Malachite was my decision. A bad one at that, but in the end, it was my decision.P: Really..?L: Yeah. Those... Those stuck together gems down in the Earth's core aren't what Fusion is, Peridot. You never have to do it unless you absolutely want to.P: But what if I never want to? I... I want to be able to understand it better, but I just... I'm.. I'm scared, and I don't know when I'm ever not going to be scared.P: I tried to fuse with garnet, you know. I thought, well, she's obviously so much more experienced than me so I should feel safe fusing with her! But then I just felt out of control. It felt strange and unfamiliar.L: I understand how you feel, Peridot.Peridot looks up at her.L: After what happened with Malachite, I could confidently say it's the last time I'd ever want to fuse.L: It was really, really scary.L: But... I see Garnet, and It kind of helps me realize that fusion is more than combined strength and willpower. (while doing the air quotes)P: ...What do you mean?L: You said Percy and Pierre are the best for each other because they reign superior with their combined power, but Garnet is more than that.L: Sapphire and Ruby trust each other and when they fuse, they become more than just their pooled strength and size, they become something else entirely. And from what I can see, that... looks kind of fun, actually.P: But what's the point of fun when there's so much to worry about?L: I'm kind of with you on that. I guess it's something we'll never fully understand. Sometimes I suppose you have to take that risk.Peridot twiddles her thumbs.P: You know, I... uh...L: Hmm?Peridot swallows.P: The Crystal Gems are my friends, and Yellow Diamond was my superior, but I don't think I've ever come to fully trust anyone.L: You're not alone, Peri.P: But... But you seem okay, Lazuli.Lapis raises her eyebrows. L: Oh, uh, thanks. They sit there, awkwardly avoiding eye contact.Peridot suddenly gets upLapis looks at her, surprised but not taken off guardP: You said fusion is a decision, right?L: Yeah...?P: (Eyes close, turned away) Well, I'm... I'm ready to make that decision, even if I'm scared.P: (Turns back around and gestures to Lapis, who's still seated) To everyone else fusion doesn't seem to be this big deal. for gem's sake, pretty much every gem I know has done it beforeP: (Rubbing the back of her own neck) But you seem to really know how I feel about it. We're in the same boat. P: It's comforting, having someone who really understands.Lapis starts cracking up a little bitP: Hey! I open up to you and you mock me!L: No, no! It's just... I was thinking the same thing.P: Wha?L: Yeah, I was-- Maybe this time could be different.P: (Rubbing her own arm) Are... Are you sure?L: About as sure as you are.Peridot smiles a bit.She nervously puts out her hand to Lapis, and Lapis slowly takes it.P: W-Wait.. I, uh...Peridot looks down at her feet. She shakes her head.P: A-Actually, nevermind.L: You sure?P: Y-Yeah, it's fine.
