Like several girls my age, I have very low esteem when it comes to my body. I can't seem to look at my stomach or my legs and think "wow, I really am beautiful". And my parents think that I can change that from one day to another. My mother yells at me for "being over dramatic, playing the victim". She doesn't care that these words are a trigger for me. My problems have always been dismissed with this words. It's sad how I can't do anything about it either, because if I try to defend myself, I'm disrespectful and immature

i seriously regret all those lost opportunities during my college years because they offered so many cool panels/workshops and i didn't go because i was too lazy to put on a bra and leave my room (this is still mainly true lol)

BUT

i'm making up for lost time because they're offering a self-defense class for women this week and it's only $25 and i'm so there because lord knows i've been in some scary situations and wishing i had something to back me up a bit ya know?
