XO coined as a relentless strategic fleet defense game. Working in real-time with pause, political intrigue and a tough drive to survive. Taking inspiration from past sci-fi works. Such as Battlestar Galactica and The Lost Fleet series. And also games such as FTL. While XO will test your skills as a leader. Since you are the captain of the last remaining battleship in the fleet. As a relentless, overwhelming enemy tries to abduct your people. The situation is in dire need. So there is no time to colonize planets or negotiate with alien races. Or for that matter, build an empire. You are outnumbered, out gunned and low on resources. So it's up to you to know when it’s time to fight or flee in XO. While making tough choices to save the human race. As you command your fleet and managing resources. You will also have to learn how to lead different personalities. As you amass and protect your civilian ships. You will also be able to rescue survivors when you can. Convince other ships to join your fleet. But who you bring into your fleet will alter the options available in XO. How you lead will either raise loyalty. But can also drive people to treason and sabotage.
