Oh my, Defiant Ones. What a night, a long long night. There were so many good apps, every single app was amazing and they floored me? I am so amazed that all of you beautiful writers chose our roleplay to apply to. It just kills me that not eveyone can be accepted. But that said, I am super excited to get started roleplaying with everyone as soon as possible. I’m sure most of us will not be able to post until tomorrow or send in blogs, but that’s just fine. Sometime around noon CST we will be posting the opening event. I also want to signify that the submit is now reopened and we will still be hosting another acceptance on Sunday. We hope everyone has a great night (or morning depending on your timezone).

Hey, Defiant Ones! It’s a little bit late for an announcement (at least in my own timezone). But this is kind of an important one. Originally, Tasha and I had tossed around an idea for a different kind of application format, but at some point we accidentally forgot. Which led to the traditional one we’ve had since launch. However, we just recently realized the great potential of our other idea. After discussing it with some of our potential applicants we decided we’re going to change our current app to the one we originally envisioned. 

Firstly, we’d like to apologize to anyone who’s already been working on an app. But we really think this new app will be not only easier to write but also much more fun and also give a much better idea of how you will play the character. 

Secondly, we will not be requiring those who have already applied to redo their applications. Because we both agree that it would simply be unfair after all the work they put in and already submitted. However, if they did choose to do so that’d be no problem with us either. 

Lastly, we’ll be putting up the new application in a few hours. I also plan to write up a sample application to give everyone a better understanding how it will work if you’re not entirely sure. As always, if you have any questions please please send them in! We’d love to hear from you guys.

Hello, again Defiant Ones! Ellie with another quick update on the going-ons here today. Thanks to some constructive advice I’ve decided to tweak the skeleton “bios” just a little bit to make them read a little better. Right now they do a good job of telling what’s happened to them, but not showing it. So as I go through them, I’m just going to be rewording/revising the phrasings and what not. 

I promise if you were intending to apply for one of the skeletons already this will not change anything central to their character. I’m merely going to adjust the wording so that it gives a better visual to the character’s experiences. I’ve already started on them, but it may take me a day or two to complete them. Once I finish, I’ll post another update to let everyone know. I don’t plan to re-release the skeletons, I’m just editing the already posted ones.

Edit: I’m going to add a list of the skeletons under a readmore so that when I’ve finished one I can check it off so you guys can follow along with my progress!

Good morning (or afternoon/evening/night) Defiant Ones! I managed to get all the blog fixings finished. The plot page is a bit more informed than before, so now you don’t need to fully read all the extra info pages as you might have had to before just to understand. I’ve also added a short summary of the plot + a clearer understanding of when exactly the roleplay will take place once it starts. In addition, I added links to the other info pages at the bottom of the plot page for ease of access.

As for the actual navigation page, I know it was a LOT to take in and kind of messy. I apologize, but hopefully, now it’s much more organized and focused on what’s important. Especially since there’s now a separate page for the character navigation. You can find the regular navigation here and the character navigation here.

I also updated links on various pages as well as grammar and I got to say I’m super excited and much happier than I was before I even realized there were problems. (Which is to say a lot because I was already pretty enthusiastic about everything). Okie Dokie though, I think that’s all I really have update wise for now. Thanks for checking in! 

Oh and also be sure to keep an eye out. ;) We’ll be posting some fun fun news in the next couple days!!!

Edit: OH! Also I wanted to let people know of a few faceclaim choices we changed up for a couple of the skeletons. Firstly, Cepheus now suggests ‘Sidharth Malhotra’ instead of ‘Rahul Kohli’ (however he’s still a valid choice), we just personally feel Sidarth feels a bit better for the character. We also changed ‘Alisha Boe’ to ‘China Anne McClain’ for Andromeda for very similar reasons. And I’m really looking forward to seeing some applications for them. Yo my lovely rpc! So it’s midnight and I just finished something that I think is really cool and I kinda hope y’all do to. So I had always planned to do a private/closed discord chat/channel for actual members of the roleplay, but I recently was playing around with the server and figured out I could also have an open channel for everyone, both potential applicants and (future) active members. So I’m very excited to tell y’all that if you’re interested in joining the open discord chat for defiancerpg you can now do that (linked below). 

My hope for this chat is to foster positive relations between both us (Tasha and I) and those of you interested in this rpg. I also feel like it would be a great way for potential applicants to find each other and talk about their apps and well anything else y’all want to discuss. It’s not resrticted to just talking about the roleplay.either. Like I’ve said many times now, we want this roleplay to build a family (yes dysfunctions an all bc flaws are the best). So please come talk to us as much as you want about anything oyu want! (As long as it ain’t spam, lol, especially porn spam). Anyways, that’s all for now <3.

Hello dear RPC and possible future applicants!!! We should be getting the first of our skeletons out sometime in the next few days, and I just gotta say that I’m super excited for them and for y’all to meet our lovely characters in more detail. We really hope that y’all enjoy everything we have to offer here and feel completely welcome. We’re looking to build a tight-knit family where we can write together and create amazing connections both IC and OOC.
