So I just reached the start of the mother's true backstory teasing, and--no spoilers I swear--but I briefly misread something regarding the book she wrote
And for five glorious minutes
I thought her backstory was that she wrote The Book.
And can you imagine? Can you? The reason she sat silent in prison as Dokja chattered on--for years!--about his favorite story, using it to connect with her; the reason the author wrote thousands of chapters even as the audience dropped down to just one
Just her son
The story written just for him
And then I realized I'd misread and all my dreams collapsed and now I'm crying over a plot line that never existed like lyrics to a favorite song misheard
But can you imagine?
Muffin, this idea slaps so fucking hard
That being said, Dokja's mother does not seem like a great person. Although she's only just been revealed to be Dokja's mother, so maybe I just need to give her more time
