Okay so this is the first one, please go easy on me. 

I thought I would start writing here, it would help me with my writing skills. 

And I really think there are no shatter me fanfics and I really love it, so. Yeah guess, here goes nothing. Plus I wrote it pretty quickly. I just got his idea with Kenji and Juliette because I reread reveal me today and damn T.T

This is Kenji and Juliette. (brotp)  Not really post imagine me, because I didn’t have the heart to read it yet, I’ll try the best to assume how it went. It’s basically talking about stuff till reveal me.

The sun is setting and I know I don’t have to go far to find him. I can see his silhouette, he’s staring at the sunset, his back hunched. Even his posture reflects sadness and it breaks my heart a little. Kenji never makes a big deal about anything when it comes to him but I know he feels invisible, even when he’s not. With everything going on, we’ve hardly had time but I don’t want him to just sit on his feelings and suppress them. He’s there for everyone and this is just not fair.

 He doesn’t notice me as I approach, something must be really bothering him, he’s usually so attentive. He looks at me as I sit down next to him. His hands are laced on his bent knees and he looks surprised to see me. “J, what are you doing? And how did you know where I was?” he says, even though he looks a little bit happy to see me. “Of course i knew where you’d be. you’re my friend. My best friend, Kenji. I also thought there was something bothering you, you were acting weird.” 

He raises one eyebrow, “Weird how, J ? You know it’s called being normal, you might not know about it because your boyfriend doesn't show any of the same behaviour. “Kenji!” I push his arm lightly and he huffs a little laugh. “You didn’t really eat and you looked so tired.” 

He sighs and drops his hands on the grass, I still can’t believe that there’s grass. I’m used to the bare ground.

“It’s just the same old stuff, J.” He doesn’t look at me, instead stares at the sky, The sky looks truly beautiful, the sun casting a saffron glow everywhere.

I stay quiet for a moment and when he still doesn’t look at me, I put my hand on his shoulder, “Kenji, what’s wrong ? You know you can tell me, right ?” He slowly faces me and I can see his eyes look tired and sunken and he looks different than before, dimmed somehow. “Hey, what’s wrong?”  I ask now a little more scared. “J, do you really think no-one can love me ?”

I am somehow taken aback, “What? you must be joking. No, Kenji everyone loves you. I can see it, even back in Point, everyone loves you Kenji.” 

He looks at me as if he’s trying to muster some reassurance. His eyes are glazed over with exhaustion and maybe even emotion. “They all want to hang out with fun Kenji, funny Kenji, Joking Kenji, Nobody can handle all of me. Any other version “ I realise these are the rare moments when Kenji succumbs to his melancholy and I really wish he hasn’t been thinking like this for long. “Kenji, you know I love you no matter which Kenji you are. I love mopey Kenji too. And besides everyone cares about you, not everyone shows it the same way that you think they should, but they do, what’s there not to love. Even Aaron -no matter how much he acts like he doesn’t- cares about you.“

“J, you are really cute sometimes, like when you think that Warner cares about anyone other than you and the cute outfit he will wear on a particular day.” He says smiling a little, and I’m glad he’s feeling a little better, even if he’s mocking Aaron again. “I know he cares Kenji, this just proves my point. Sometimes you don’t know people care because they show it a little differently.” 

“Hmm, J, but what do you think is wrong with me? I mean it can’t be my face, because I mean, hello have you seen it?” At this I raise my brows and try to control my smile when I say seriously “Is this about Nazeera, Kenji?” 

“What? no, J are you feeling okay because it looks like you’re delusional.” He says too quickly and his cheeks get a little flushed as if he’s remembering something. 

“Oh so this is definitely about her.” now I’m smiling openly. 

“maybe a little”

He looks serious again. I hug him from the side, I really want him to be happy, and not just being funny or anything, just genuinely at peace, he deserves the world and I tell him so. He turns and hugs me back tightly and I hold on too. “I missed you, you know.” He whispers as he rests his chin on my head. 

“I missed you too, Kenji. Why didn't you tell me this sooner ?”

He let’s go and lies on his back. it’s almost dark now. “ I don’t know J, you and Warner went through so much recently and we just wanted you to have some time together.” 

I lie back and put my head on his shoulder, and he puts his hand around my shoulder, he squeezes tightly. “Kenji If you have something that's bothering you and you need to talk it through, you can always, no matter what, ask me. Just because me and Aaron are together doesn’t change anything with us. I’ll always be here for you, I care about you Kenji.”

He closes his eyes and I fell his body tense and relax as he breathes to hold his composure. I press myself into his side more tightly and his grip tightens on my shoulder again. “And about Nazeera, they were raised so differently Kenji, they were raised to think logically, to be leaders. Showing emotions is a weakness. But I know she cares, she looks at you like she cares. I can bet she cares a lot more than you think. “ 

  He opens his eyes suddenly and looks at me “you think?” 

“I know” I smile, feeling relieved to see him more like himself. He smiles back, he looks as if a burden has been eased off his shoulders with this conversation.

“And meanwhile, I'm here.”  

His smile comes more easily now. Naturally, not forced. “Warner better not hurt you again, or he’ll hear from me.” At this I snort, “first of all, he won’t hurt me and you will avoid ever picking a fight with Aaron if you can help it.“

“Hey, J, you think I’m afraid of him or something?” I turn to face him and widen my eyes in innocence even as my smile slips out. 

“Well, I'm not ! but seriously J, you won't tell him right now that I said that will you?” At this I laugh out loud and shove him and he starts laughing too. 

Yeah, we’ll be alright.

Shatter Me Series

Some of y’all NEVER had to go through the pain of thinking that it ended at a trilogy, that us high schoolers HAD to LIVE with the fact that Warner and Juliette ending happily or that you didn’t get enough SCENES OF THEM. You didn’t WAIT 4 years to find out the story CONTINUES and it SHOOWS!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! My thoughts on the Defy Me snippets!

Firstly, I think that something is seriously up with Adam. I can’t see a reason why he would be so apathetic to the kidnapping of not only is first love but also his newfound brother. Because I am 100% Team Warner and therefore Precious Aaron could do no wrong, I am thinking that Adam was somehow involved in their kidnapping. He seems to be jealous of the relationship James has with the others, and I can only suspect that he is apprehensive to have James involved with them because he knows something they don’t. I don’t know. Maybe he is more involved with the Reestablishment than we know.

Secondly, I am so on board with Nazeera and Kenji. Kenji deserves someone who will prioritize him, and I think Nazeera is that person. And vise versa. Kenji seems to understand and support Nazeera in a way that the others don't. I can not wait until Shadow Me (two days— AHHHH!!!!) when we will be able to see their relationship close up and be able to understand the references that Kenji made in the sneak peak. Thirdly, I want to go over some of the theories I have seen. I think that @warnersbae is on to something. I definitely can subscribe to the idea that Anderson has the ability to make people sick, but I want to further that idea and suggest that all the Supremes have abilities. Also, the idea that Nazeera was working this Castle seems hard to grasp. I don’t think it would make much sense, because if she wanted to rebel, she could have reached out to an underground group in her nation. But, if true it does explain a lot. In addition, I think that the other children of the supreme’s were all in on it (it being the disastrous speech), but forcibly. I can’t see how they would want to encourage the Reestablishment, so maybe they were forced to partake (which circles back to my Adam theory).

Lastly, if it comes out that Aaron has memory of his and Ella’s childhood together and he has not told her about it I am going to be seriously upset. 

All in all, I am completely stoked for this book!! It is already so good. AHH!!! I can’t wait!!
