Manny is not starting this season out with great hair... but I digress.
Emma is crushing on Peter, a guy she and Manny have been scoping out at the local pool. They run into Peter on the first day of school and he seems more interesed in Manny than Emma. He also seems like a grade A douche, but maybe that's just me. Also a grade A douche is the agent Manny tries to sign with who tells her to "dump the lumps." This inspires a trip to a plastic surgeon who agrees to the surgery. Of a perfectly attractive teenage girl. Another grade A douche. When her father also pulls a grade A douche move, Manny decides to go to a party with Peter. Where she makes a very regrettable drunk decision and a sober Peter lets her. We she refuses to go out with him, he blackmails her. When the video goes live, Manny gets kicked off the spirit squad, loses her friendship with Emma and becomes the laughing stock of the school. Still feuding with her father, she has no where to go. Fuck Peter for real, yo. Emma is able to forgive the "betrayal" but school is still hell for Manny.
Spinner has returned to Degrassi and, unsurprisingly, no one is excited to see him.
It's Craig's birthday and everyone but him knows that Ashley has found a new guy overseas. Can Craig ever have a good birthday? He gets pretty mad at Ellie who has developed a crush on him. Marco suggests that she join Downtown Sasquatch (Spinner needs to be replaced) and she does. Could that be a budding romance I sense?
