It is very heavy and for it's size and has a real quality feel about it. This pan is a proper antique French pan! This is a chefs staple for making all sort of foods and sauces, this is fantastic for anything that needs constant stirring, this pan will not move from where it is put. This is a 'go to' pan. If you want one piece of old world quality - this will fit the bill. As with all precious old things there are a few faults and signs of wear and use. There are numerous scratches, dents, scrapes and bruises, It has been re tinned beautifully the tin lining is in fabulous condition and just look at those rivets! The handle is firmly fixed there is no play in it at all it is chunky and has a silkiness that is impossible to fake. This is a lovely old pan. There was way back when a piece of wood as part of the handle but they are now traditionally used without as the wood burned when placed over an open fire It's everything you would expect from an antique pan. This is the most beautiful poaching pan I have come across for it's size, this is real quality. You can still use this pan to melt chocolate for sweets or cakes, poach sauces to thicken them, this will take enough heat to make caramel or melt sugar to make nougat. A true artisan patissiers pan. Heritage on your hob! There are very few signs of wear or use, there is a patch of scratches on the handle. The interior is in near perfect condition. The patina is exceptional. There are two small holes in the pan handle. It is aboslutely gorgeous. This is still all in fine working order. Beautiful gratin dish, good big size and weight, great for pommes de terre dauphinoise or sliced potatoes with cream, garlic and onions or anything you need an over dish for - roasting vegetables. poultry or meat.

There is darkening of the tin and wear on the edges, this has been lovingly polished and cared for in a restaurant in nothern Orne, near Lisieux.

These have some surface scratches and signs of wear but no damage or dents - it is in lovely vintage condition, the interior has darkened through use but it is totally fit for purpose and the patina is fab.

This is a super heavy, beautiful, fit for purpose, robust fabulous pan - real quality.

They weighs 1.4 kilograms about 3 pounds.
