Which character goes to the amusement park/regional fair for the carnival food?
Surprising nobody, of course Kurita is going to fit into this category. He loves all the different amusement park foods, from the classic staples like cotton candy, candied apples, fries with vinegar and lots of salt, funnel cakes loaded with lots of cream and berries, and the like. But if the team were going to an amusement park like Disney or the like, with specialty treats exclusive only to the park, he’d be even more excited about the food in the park. He’d want to try a little bit of everything and might even go on a ‘diet’ so he could have extra room for the amusement park trip. Another person you wouldn’t expect to be excited about amusement park treats? Doburoku. This applies mainly to parks like Disney, where exclusive alcoholic drinks are on the menu and highly hyped up. He’s leaving that park trashed but he’s really, really happy about it all and considers it a trip very well worth it.
Which character is determined to ride all the rollercoasters?
The one most excited about the rollercoasters is Suzuna. She can’t wait to ride them all and simply cannot decide which order to ride them in. They all sound amazing. She’s talking about this with Sena and Monta, only to discover a kindred soul in Monta, who gets all starry-eyed as soon as Suzuna shows them videos and pictures of the roller coasters. He’s all set to conquer each and every one of them and will get into heated arguments with Suzuna over which one they have to get on first. Sena…well, he doesn’t really want to go on any of the rollercoasters. Some of them downright scare him, to be honest. However, under the enthusiasm of the other two, and with them really pushing for him to join them, he can’t help but buckle up and go on them anyway.
Which character loses all their money at the ring toss?
It really starts with Monta. He’s trying to impress Mamori by winning her a really huge prize and thinks the gigantic plush panda will be something that just makes her fall for him. He starts off not doing too bad, at least getting close enough to win some smaller prizes but not quite enough to get to the mid-size or big prize. Definitely not close enough to get the one he really wants, but with winning the littler prizes Monta thinks there’s a chance. So he keeps trying. He tries so hard…and his throws just get worse and worse and WORSE. The more he plays, the more worked up he gets about losing and from there, there’s simply no chance for him. It’s during this process that the Ha-Ha Bros stumble across Monta just absolutely whiffing it at the game. They start poking fun at him and Monta being Monta, he’s not just taking that lying down. He demands that they do better then, if they’re going to make fun of him. Turns out Togano sucks just as bad as Monta does at the game and he’s no more happier about it than Monta is. The two of them get really competitive and waste so much money just to prove which of them is the better at the game…Mamori’s stuffed animal kind of becomes an afterthought, haha.
Which character destroys at carnival games and leaves the park burdened by ten giant prizes?
Again, with one that surprises nobody, Kuroki is an absolute genius when it comes to carnival games. He doesn’t even really care about the prizes, giving them away to others who want them more. He just really enjoys playing and winning. It’s the competition and the challenge that gets him. Plus, the look of horror on the booth attendant’s face when Kuroki clears them out of the prizes really makes him happy. Another one who really excels at carnival games? Hiruma. He wins prizes he knows the others are really after and holds them hostage in order to blackmail the others into doing more work or training for him.
Which character stays in the gift shops?
Mamori isn’t really all that into a lot of the rides in amusement parks. She’ll go on a couple of them with Sena or Suzuna, but for the most part, she enjoys the shows, the food, and the gift shops. She makes sure to pick up souvenirs for everyone because she’s very thoughtful like that. Doburoku also spends a lot of time (in between the food and drink stands) in the shops, just because they tend to be a little quieter than the main space with all the rides. Rides tend to make him queasy.
Which character has a stake in one of the competitions?
Hiruma has a stake in all the competitions, let’s be honest here. In fact, he provokes some of those competitions, just to amuse himself when things start to bore him.
Which character has a gig as the park mascot?
I think Ishimaru has a couple part-time jobs. He does one job and he’s reliable and steady, a good worker, but people keep forgetting to put him on the schedule. So, he’s got a couple gigs on the go at any given time. A mascot at a theme park? It’s a pretty easy gig and because of the silliness of the costume, and him not really having to talk, it’s one he’s good at. He actually kind of digs how happy he makes people while in the job and all the attention he gets while in the costume.
Which character(s) come to the fair in costume? What do they wear?
I think Suzuna probably has a thing for one of the mascots. She thinks it’s just adorable and loves it. She has merch for it and would come to the park dressed in that merch or in a makeshift costume inspired by it. If this park was something like Disney, I can see her wearing some sort of Disney princess inspired outfit or the like. Because Taki knows his sister’s love of the mascot or princesses, he’s going to deck himself out in all the merch he can get his hands on. Ears, a cheesy and ugly t-shirt, a full out costume or cosplay – if he thinks it will make his sister happy or make her think he’s cool, he’s going to do it.
