This ad was posted on Craigslist last Friday as a response to the MoCA/Blu controversy and the upcoming Art in the Streets exhibition. Definite must read!
A new poster in LA's Little Tokyo has been unveiled bashing MoCA's Art In The Streets exhibition before it even opens. The list of artists is pretty much what I expected with some major East coast and international omissions, but it's probably because the gift shop couldn't find anything appropriate to sell based on these artists work. The opening of the show comes next week, so let's see what the public thinks. I'm betting popular success and graf world failure.

An anonymous tagger calls for the Keith Harring to return to the Deitch wall.

Interesting update on the state of the Deitch Wall and who has the right to keep street art 'pristine.'

Approximately one month ago, security cameras were installed at the often vandalized Deitch Wall. Apparently that wasn't enough to deter taggers, so security guards have now been employed to patrol the space 24/7.

Except this time, it's awesome.

First Banksy's identity and now the Shepard Fairey wall. The bidding starts at $100. The satisfaction of seeing that thing ripped off of it's supports was good enough for me. Maybe someone will sell the giant penis that was spray-painted across it too?
