Suriel clearly did not belong in this world. It’s a party for stuck-up rich people and even in his finest suit he felt under-dressed. He didn’t know how to behave. Every now and then his eyes would search for Jimin in the crowd, to make sure the male was still close to him to instruct him what to do, should he find himself in company of yet another group of businessmen. Someone gave a speech and he found himself automatically clapping -- for those few seconds he turned his attention to the lectern; after a brief moment he hurried back to stand by the side of his friend who brought him there. “I really feel like I really should go. I’m just going to be an embarrassment to you.”

               “NO, I TOTALLY GET it if you don’t wanna be around me, it’s no problem.” He spoke blandly, trying to keep any type of emotion from his voice since he knows that since him and Atlas broke up months ago he shouldn’t still expect himself to be such an obligation, but he became so used to it for so long that it was hard to control himself. “I mean, you have things to take care of, so don’t force yourself to be here okay?” Jungkook’s gaze dropped, hands slipping into his front pockets as he shrugged his shoulders softly, not even noticing his own dramatics. “It’s just me...you know I’ll always be here at the end of the day, I always have been.”

             WAKING UP IN THE MORNING was always nothing but absolutely agonizing to Jungkook. How was it that he had such trouble getting to sleep but he could be woken up so quickly? That just didn’t seem fair at all. The only thing he ever looked forward to in the morning after hearing that loud and obnoxious alarm, these days, was getting a message from the same person he’d been talking to nonstop for months now. They met anonymously on a messaging system, no pictures or names to judge each other with. It was nice because it made the male feel like he was actually and seriously connected to someone on nothing but an emotional level. It’s refreshing, knowing that this person likes you for nothing but who you are. At least he hoped this boy liked him for who he was. 

            A bright smile spreads on his face when he does, in fact, see a message from the person he was hoping to see one from, nothing but a wave of joy passing over his features as he finally sat up to properly message the other back. Now getting ready for classes was definitely going to be the last thing on his mind.

she had only come to the party as a favor to her grandpa. naturally she tried her best to avoid these kinds of things - since usually the questions revolved around ones she didn't have answers for yet. "when are you going to take over your grandfather's company." "when are you going to get married -- you know i have a son." she could just hear them echoing inside her head. however she had promised her grandpa that she would come today since he didn't feel well, and that wasn't a promise she could very well break. so instead she would just have to do her best to avoid them and force a smile even though she would rather be far far away from here by now.

it didn't help that she had come late. still though better late then never she supposed. sighing she stepped inside of the event space and glanced around for a familiar face. of course there were none, after all she mostly kept to herself afraid of losing someone else she cared about. blinking she continued to make her way through all of the various people, avoiding contact with them since she didn't want to get into a deep conversation with any of them. eventually she reached the drink station and took a water, she had practice early in the morning and she didn't feel like going with a hangover. however her eyes were drawn to a young man. she knew his face from somewhere but she couldn't remember him. pouting softly she tried to rack her brain from where she knew him and then suddenly she remembered. "park jimin-ah?" she asked him giving a soft smile. she couldn’t help but wonder if he would remember her too. he had changed a bit, gotten taller more manly. but his face was still the face of the kind boy she used to play with.

Minjun wasn’t even sure if the memory was real or made up, the images of him hugging his mother as she set him on her lap, whispering comforting words into his ear, he mustn’t have been older than three years old. The memory was definitely fading and he could barely see it anymore, the only thing that remained was the subtle warm feeling he felt whenever he tried to recall it. Whether it was actually his mother who had treated him that way, or if it was some part of his brain that wanted to make it up in order to help him cope when he was going though rough times, he actually didn’t want to find out.
