How Shigaraki and Deku parallel each other in almost every way, and how that leads to the AFO is Dekus dad theory.

They both were children that wanted to be heroes as a child, but were rejected by society for reasons that they could not control, which leads to them being taken in by a mentor who promised to make things better for them and make them more powerful, knowing that this would hurt them both physically and mentally

While Shigarakis mentor had worse intentions and did nothing but make him believe he was a monster made for hurting others and destroying the hero society, Dekus mentor had good intentions and wants him to become the symbol of peace to help hero society and be able to save others.

Even if we’re going down to physical appearances, younger Shigaraki canonically looked a LOT like Deku [it literally says in the wiki]. And if I really over analyze it, they now both wear similar, same shade red, shoes.

Shigarakis grandmother was a hero, and had a relation to Dekus mentor [All Might], so it would make a lot of sense if Deku had a parent, or a relative of some sort, that was in some way related to the villains? Especially someone connected to Shigaraki right?

The only thing we know about Dekus dad is that he had a fire breathing quirk, and his first name was Hisashi, AFO has only had his last name revealed so far and the ability to steal any quirk he wants, why WOULDN’T he steal an easy fire breathing quirk?

This would make Shigaraki evil born from good, while Deku is good born from evil, and All Might has literally said ‘justice is always born from evil’.

And the rough translation of Hisashi Mindoriyas name means ‘its bean a long time [since i last saw you]’.

AFO stealing peoples quirks sounds very similar to how Deku ‘steals’ his classmates techniques [EX: him using blackwhip the same way tsuyu uses her tongue]

And while Deku is still unable to use 100% of OFAs power, he has the ability to use the previous users' quirks, which none of the other users had. And if AFO was his dad, it would mean the first user of OFA was his uncle and Deku would have the closest blood connection with him, which would explain how he was able to do this.

We’ve been told that AFO stole a search quirk from Ragdoll that allows him to know where everyone is in a certain radius, who they are, what their quirks are and what their weaknesses are, however in kamino when deku and the others were behind that wall and AFO made his big first appearance, he didn't notice them, and he SHOULD have, it'd be a logical decision if he attacked and killed them, but he didn’t.

The only time [that i know of] AFO talked about Deku, he was criticising All Mights teaching because he allowed Deku to hurt himself with OFA.

We already know that Dekus childhood doctor was also AFOs doctor, and depending on how you see it he could be there for a multitude of reasons. He could be there to ‘watch over’ Deku in a way, he could be there to steal his quirk, he could be there to simply TELL him that he was quirkless, but a lot of the theories would make you believe that theres someone else in charge telling the doctor what to do, and the doctor is known for being a ‘faithful servant’ to AFO.

Deku had the quirkless toe joint, which is an insanely uncommon feature in current BNHA, but was VERY common feature with the first generation of quirk users, which AFO is a part of.

Quirks influence peoples personalities [Toga having a fascination with blood, Shiggy having an 'itch to destroy’] and if Deku had AFO, he would manifest it in his personality. With AFO being a power tied to quirks, and Deku having an insane ability to understand quirks correctly, and being obsessed with other peoples quirks and understanding them would make sense.

Going down to physical appearances between Deku and AFO:

Deku is shown to have curly/wavy hair, while his mother has very straight hair, AFO is shown to have somewhat curly/wavy hair too. + Dekus hair is clearly lighter than his mothers, meaning his father would have to have a lighter hair, and AFO has white or VERY light blonde hair.

Horikoshi has said that Dekus dad will be ‘revealed’ later in the story, and Horikoshi is known to be a huge fan of star wars, so man could very well pull a ‘i am your father’ HDSNNDFH

Anyways, I got really into this, over analyzed a lot and spent like an hour writing this so yes i am reaching a little here BUT IT MAKES SENSE I SWEAR ! !

There was once a tumblr rant about All For One being Deku's dad, comparing tons of small details about Darth Vader and AFO that make it seem like such a great theory! They had pics and everything. I would totally link it here but sadly, I can not find it. I use to think it seemed far fetched but he got me to really doubt that.

None the less, Horikoshi-Sensei is obviously inspired by Darth Vader.

Gran Tarino is obviously Yoda.
