“Learning to fight is essential.”
SHE REMEMBERED HIM when she had come to the Tournament. He was a quiet sort of lion, but Harry had trusted him; Fleur hadn’t expected to see much of Neville Longbottom again.
But then wars happen, and she had decided, in choosing to stay in England, that it was her fight as well. But he was still very YOUNG, and Fleur didn’t like seeing the steely, determined look on his face.
“I know this,” she replied. “But learning to fight by fighting is unwise, don’t you think?”
“Well, if no one’s volunteering to teach... what else are we meant to do?”
A few years ago, Neville would have been swooning at the thought of talking to Fleur Delacour. And... alright, a part of him still was. But so much had changed in such a short time. New priorities took precedence. “I’d rather go out fighting than sit here doing nothing. There’s too many people doing nothing.” His voice trembled slightly at the admission, but he didn’t hesitate with it.

his sister’s home had been busy from the minute he arrived, though he supposed that was to be expected when a wedding was being planned, yet in spite of the chaos he hadn’t managed to miss the way his nephew and fleur looked at each other. “lass, i don’t know who’s told you otherwise but that’s plain to see.”
❝ you’re very far from home . that must be hard ❞ everyone was talking about france closing their border, about how they were all suddenly cut off from any escape . she and james had talked about leaving, however briefly. it hadn’t really been something they would do, but still - knowing they were trapped was sobering, she sympathises with fleur , with how isolated she must feels. lily tucks a loose strand of red hair behind her ear, ❝ you know . if you need anything , you can always ask ❞ it’s said with warmth, with a sweet smile and with meaning. ❝ just let me know ❞

He does his best to keep a straight face for as long as possible, staring down the young woman as she tries to figure out whether he’s joking. But he can’t keep it up for ever and soon he’s in bits, a hearty laugh that doesn’t stop until he’s wheezing. “I’m kidding, lass,” he finally says, patting her on the shoulder. He feels a little cruel, the rest of the family was giving Fleur a hard enough time without him joking while she was on edge.
pokes.... again. in one Weasley's vulnerable, hilariously ticklish side.

“Fleur Delacour, right?” Oliver asked and stuck his hand out to the woman. “Oliver Wood, we have never properly met, I graduated the year before the triwizard tournament but you competed along one of my best friends, Cedric. It’s an honor to meet you.”
