I started to think about what the anon said earlier, and personally I don’t think Kaoru is touched starved / starved for genuine affection. I think the thing he craves more is attention rather than affection, & not attention as in “everyone look at me” more so as attention in the form of not being just a Hitachiin twin or just Hikaru’s twin brother.
