Israel's attacks have been relentless since the eve of Eid al-Adha on Tuesday, May 26. Just yesterday the head of anesthesia at Al-Yafa Medical Hospital was killed in an attack that injured three others. Over 50% of hospitals in Gaza are nonfunctional. Even when Palestinians survive attacks, treatment is limited and medical bills are expensive.

This targeting of healthcare workers and infrastructure is the reason my friend Fadel needs to raise funds for medical evacuation to a hospital outside of Gaza to surgically remove shrapnel that embedded in his body during the Israeli airstrike that destroyed his home while he was inside.

He is being treated for severe anemia and malnutrition as a result of long term food insecurity and being unable to afford his monthly medication to treat his blood disorder. Tumblr has been deleting a lot of Palestinian blogs in the past 24 hours. Two of my friends have had their blogs deleted. Last night Ahmed remade and had his blog deleted 30 minutes later. Today, my friend Fadel had his blog deleted.

Fundraising on tumblr is survival. When tumblr deletes the blogs of people in Gaza, that is participation in genocide. It is unconscionable.

Fadel's new blog is @fadell-aldany. Please follow him there and send him a message of encouragement. He has been on tumblr for years and has lost all of his connections.

He's in the hospital because his blood count is so low from going too long without his blood medication and proper nutrition. He desperately needs funds, and he cannot raise them if no one finds his blog. Fadel's campaign (gazavetters #197) is hosted by a friend of mine. I am texting with Fadel right now as I type this, and I personally can confirm that this new account is really him.

Please help him find his previous followers!

there’s this concept of “aspie supremacy” where autistic people with overall lower support needs dominate conversations of neurodivergence and do not take into consideration that they have privilege over other disabled and neurodivergent people. yes you ARE autistic and no one can tell you otherwise because they are not in your brain but being autistic and having an intellectual disability are two different things.

@withasmoothroundstone (z''l), Mel Baggs, coined this term and in 2011 wrote "Aspie Supremacy Can Kill" on their WordPress, BallastExistenz. Mel was nonspeaking, experienced institutionalization, and was a prominent autism rights activist until they died in 2020, from neglect via lack of services. I recommend reading their writings on this.
