I keep getting reels about the presence of ICE in Minnesota. People talking about the people who have died.
The attitudes some people have about this is absolutely disgusting. They got up in arms when Charlie Kirk was assassinated, and then got angry when people made jokes about it (his assassination was wrong. Joking about it was and is wrong. Celebrating it is and was wrong) and now THEYRE actively making fun of people ICE has murdered. Absolutely disgusting, completely hypocritical.
I try to avoid the videos and not get absorbed in politics because I absolutely hate politics and I think its important for me myself personally, to prioritize not living in a state of fear, or a state of anger.
I don't care which side of the fence you're on. Stop making of people who have lost their lives and celebrating death. Every time someone has to end up dead for some political agenda its a freaking tragedy. I don't care who they are. If they were innocent, its a tragedy because they were innocent. If they were the cause of evil, its a tragedy that death was the only way we could find to bring an end to the evil they brought- the loss of evil can be celebrated but the fact that there was a soul so lost and corrupted is tragic when they didn't have to be that way. It seems like left and right everyone just wants to find some reason to justify exerting power over each other and taking the lives of human people. It seems like people look left and right for a reason to celebrate death. Is your heart so calloused and cold that you can't see the humanity in the eyes of those youre calling to death? What makes it all the worse is that so many of these people are the ones showing up to church on Sundays. As if they wouldn't have celebrated the death of the very God they claim to worship.
The more I think about this the more angry I get. Its all based off one particular comment that made fun of the two most recently known ICE victims while actively showing their faces and acting like their deaths were deserved. That is what a heart of stone looks like.
