I’ve had the pleasure of being able to work with amazing people over the years, and to hear about the work of others through artist talks and exhibition walkthroughs. I wish I had taken more pictures because I’m missing photos from some great shows. I’m looking forward to being able to people again soon. How will you people? #aiweiwei #delfinfinley #tylerthecreator #raymondsaunders #betyesaar #johnbaldessari #rashellgeorge #guillermogomezpeña Got photos of us? Noah Jones is a queer youth service worker and vocal advocate for access to mental health care, racial equity, and gender justice. He uses creative mediums to be catalysts for the changes he wishes to create; be it film, writing, or illustration—his goal has always remained the same and that is to make sure the reality he lived will no longer be a reality for anyone else. By sixth grade Noah had lived through several insect infestations, an apartment water supply polluted by sewage which at times forced his family to ask friends to lend their showers. His experience of poverty lead him to become invested in the lives of other marginalized youth. Noah currently works in a High School under an experiential education provider that enables him to collaborate with youth using immersive activities and various types of interactive media. He is also a member of both the National and California regional Transgender Youth (TRUTH) Councils which came from a partnership between the Transgender Law Center and the Genders & Sexualities Alliance (GSA) network and the youth that work to share the trans narratives we don’t often hear in mainstream media. Noah’s dream is to continue working with his communities in a direct capacity and to keep building and connecting others with the resources needed to make changes in their own.
-- All year, Sons And Brothers has honored the heroes and hundreds of individuals that have fought and continue to fight the injustices faced by our communities. Over the next couple of weeks, we will recognize the journeys of our leaders of African descent and the ways in which they have made TODAY possible and are working to create a more just FUTURE. 🎨 by: Delfin Finley, check out more of their work here: www.delfinleyart.com #HealthAndJustice4All #BlackHistoryMonth
