My Thoughts on Delicious Party Precure Ep. 1

Hello my name is BJ short for BlueJay and welcome to the BirdHouse where we cook up a piping hot review that's inconsistent throughout the month.

It's finally time that I get to talk about Delicious Party Pretty Cure!

Similar to kimi to Idol I'll be making review posts sharing my thoughts on each episode.

🩷🍣This was an overall good first impression of the first episode especially since this will be my second time watching the first three episodes to get back into the groove of the story.

Yui is already starting out to be a pink cure that I'm easily attached to, as someone who loves to cook and likes to eat variety of foods from different places around the world for many occasions her character speaks to me as well as her connection with her grandmother to why food is important.

The one downside is Yui's catchphrase 'delicioussmile'! It's kira-kirala all over again 🫤.

💙🌶️Rosemary is a very charming character I grew to like. I love how he's concerned for yui and grows to trust in her and just this one episode alone and his dynamic with her is hilarious, but very sweet for looking out for her well-being.

💛🍜As for the Lore and conflict? I am very insterested how the story plays out with the missing recipebook. The idea that food is made deliciously through the power of these recipippi's is a really cool concept, and by taking them away it results in the food to be consumed by negative energy. I wonder why the Bundoru gangs' motive to kidnap the recipippi's? I'll just have to wait and see!

💜🎂The action sequence for this episode was also really well done. Yui has a nice advantage against the ubozu, showcasing that Yui is very athletic from dodging the monsters in her civilian form despite still taking a disadvantage, so using her Pretty Cure powers enhances those physical abilities greatly. A nice visual display from the beginning of the episode when she was helping the soccer team.

🍱I also love cure precious design. It's a cute mix of a chef attire with Yui focus on Japanese foods as her motif.

And lastly the companion fairies. Kome-Kome is adorable. Her adorableness made me shed a tear. I've seen many adorable fairies and plushies in my life, but Kome so adorable that she gives me cavities, we must protect this little fox at all costs.

Overall, a good first episode! A fun premise with a really fun cast of characters with a cute dynamic!

Can't wait for the next episode!
