Sure wish fans remembered that Aisha doesn't have "wavy straight hair" she has afro-textured hair SPECIFICALLY

They could have done more to emphasize that for sure, but when you see how they style it, you can't say this is straight hair. Literally no other character's hair looks like this

The only times the studios lean HEAVY on giving her straight wavy hair is when they straight up whitewash her. They try to make it appear "big" cuz the animators I guess figured Aisha's hair back then looked bigger than the other girls', not understanding it's cuz they were afros. That's why her hair was so volumous.

It was probably more recognizable in her concepts. Regardless, it's executing the same idea - she actually has Black hair when compared to the other girls

So if y'all can stop giving her straight hair that is slightly wavy, and calling it a day, that would be nice

I feel like the Healin' Good fairies in particular would have beef with Kyubey. Their whole thing is healing the Earth, but here comes this parasite with its witches, one of which is so powerful that Kyubey's own magical girls don't have a chance of stopping it. At least not without becoming an even stronger witch in the process. That would ruffle some feathers.

To make matters worse, if they confronted him on it, he'd probably just say that he's just doing the same thing they are on a larger scale. They're trying to keep the earth healthy, and he'd argue that he's trying to keep the universe healthy by overcoming entropy. If one planet has to suffer a bit to stop the heat death of the universe, isn't that okay? They would not take kindly to that.

What I'm trying to say is that Rabirin would wring an Incubator's neck out before anyone could get her off of it.

One of my favorite aspects of Smile Precure and the reason why it’s my favorite season in the Pretty Cure franchise is the Cures and the dynamics amongst them. They feel like a legitimate group of friends, not teammates telling the audiences that they are friends or a group of followers. I noticed that in some seasons, every time all the Cures are gathered (until an extra member joins them later) they would have their a bonding episode or two that follows right after but the rest of the series don’t really emphasize, reflect, or cement their bonds beyond those said episodes. It just feels like a prerequisite, rather than a group of individuals who are becoming genuine friends. Not help that in some occasions, the team or story itself will treat one or two character as the central figure(s) of focus, leaving the unlucky Cures in the dust.

The Smile team as a whole feels balanced as they all have a chance to shine and equally have really cool powers. While the story is simplistic and can get monotonous as well, it gives the opportunity to make the season more character driven and see their traits bounce off from each other. It’s the reason why they remained as one of the most beloved teams in the franchise despite their simple story.

Mostly for balancing the scales, what are some things from the manga that you dislike?

I think my whole blog balances the scale pretty fairly already lol, at least I would think so considering how many manga accounts have me blocked.

Which is odd to me cause I rlly don’t dislike the manga as much as ppl think I do. It’s MUCH better than Crystal and it is charming, like you can tell by the way she draws the girls sometimes, she loves these girls.

There’s just some UNFORTUNATE big elements in the manga that really get me and that tank down the whole experience hard for me.

Ok, I’ll list them but I won’t got as much into detail because I’ve talked plenty about all of these in the past:

Usagi, just all of her character. She’s a power fantasy insert which is “fine” but it’s not for me
