This is a really interesting message that I really didn't expect this season to touch on! I guess it's getting at the fact that it's ok to dislike or even hate people, but not to use that as an excuse for cruelty towards them or others, and to not doubt yourself for feeling hatred. It's an unexpectedly complex message, I think.

I know that this isn't what it's saying, but I thought of the "murder is ok" meme when Mary talked about it being natural to hate people lol

💜 キュアフィナーレ / Cure Finale 💜

Finally got a chance to draw the supposedly "Gold Cure" Cure Finale for the first time!

Out of all Delicious Party Cures, I gotta admit that her design is the only one that I liked! It's still busy, but it's also very gorgeous and the color palette works extremely well!

Toei THEMSELVES posted an English subbed version of the Precious to Sky Baton Pass! To THEIR YouTube channel! I don't think they've ever done this before.

(This is also significant as Crunchyroll's simulcast of the last Delipre episode didn't include the baton pass, although they did include the post-credits scene featuring Sora's cameo, which they didn't do for Yui's cameo in the last ep of Tropical Rouge).

A big illust I made in October, featuring my two best girls Amane and Maria uvu

I think I have a type. Like, if I were to point out how similar Amane and Maria are with their arcs, I would basically make a whole essay out of this. Like, they both start out as villains (with fabulous capes, mind you) but realise they’re being manipulated and want to redeem themselves. And both become pastel-coloured princess-themed Magical Girls! With swordssss!

I also have to say, I have such a weak spot for this specific kind of characters that are kinda like motherly figures for the group? My poor girls have to keep their stuff together while also trying not to go insane. I love them very very much (๑o̴̶̷̥᷅﹏o̴̶̷̥᷅๑)

What’s funny is that I think both of them have this, let’s say, theme colour problem. Like, this is just a personal opinion, but for me, Amane doesn’t feel purple, even though it’s stated as her theme colour. Precure had white Cures before, so why try to gatekeep Finale, especially as her being white would be so poetic? Like, she got out of the darkness and now fights for good! That would be so cool!

On the contrary, I feel like Maria has the exact opposite of a problem. Like, this theme of being white because your previous self was black works with her character as well, but I just can’t take her seriously as white-themed. All gears work in a similar fashion - you have white, some black, and then theme colour. If we go along with those rules, Maria’s theme colour is mint! But then, by the same rules again, her X-Drive form’s theme colour should be purple! Arghhh, my baby’s driving me insane, but I love her nonetheless. And you see, this is exactly why my Princess Maria has a white dress, but her magic is cyan. It’s to keep myself sane.

Wow, turned out to be quite a ranting.
