THEY HAVE A TRICERATOPS TOO OMG
Sometimes I look at my demon designs and wonder if they're monstrous enough, but I don't have the heart to change them. Like, looking at some of the stuff you've posted (like on the incubi/succubi), I feel like I could have done so much more for mine... but I've got at least 6 years invested in what I've currently got right now.
hey limes my dude don’t worry about it. honestly for all that i preach about loving more monstrous designs i’m much better at concept than execution and a lot of my creatures end up very humanoid just because that’s what i like to draw and what comes easiest to me. imo there’s no Wrong way to portray monsters and it’s absolutely possible to make super compelling characters even if they don’t look very outwardly monstrous. monstrous-ness or whatever is a lot more than just appearance!
also like your art is mad good and very professional looking so i probably don’t have to even tell you this but designs change all the time even designs you feel super committed to. it’s a thing that’ll naturally change and grow and evolve with your own skill and sense of style so don’t stress too much thinking “i should change this” or “i should keep this the same” because a lot of times if change is needed it’s something that just kinda happens. a lot of my characters have changed a lot without my even realizing it until i compare present with past work!
tl;dr your designs are good and if you feel like they need a change then change will probably happen and it’ll maybe be even better! that’s kinda just the great mysterious process of art
