Kasia’s jaw tensed through the phone call, hand clenched into a fist as she tried to not snap back at the voice on the other side. Of course they would call her as she was enjoying a few drinks with company. Of course they’d call and disturb when she forgot to put the phone on silent. So once she managed to excuse herself from the call, she turned back to her company, picking up her glass of wine once more, before joining them on the couch. “You know, I’ll never recommending working in the family company. They’ll never leave you alone.” She said, sounding more tired than she’d done five minutes earlier. “Who even said vacation days are vacation days when there’s phones in existence?”
