“my biggest hear me out is gildarts” “my biggest hear me out is makarov as young”
my biggest hear me out is deliora, shape up
Something I find interesting related to the Sub Zero Emperor / Galuna Island arc is that they tell us that demons can't even get close to the Moon Temple. But that's not completely true...
Because Etherious can get close to the Temple and they are also classified as demons. So it must be only normal demons that can't get near it. After all Natsu was clearly able to get into the Temple. I would also argue that it can't just be chalked up to whether or not Mashima decided to have Natsu actually be a demon when the arc was created, because Deliora was arguably closer to the temple than any of the demon villagers ever got. Deliora is also an Etherious literally known as the "Demon of Destruction."
Makes me wonder about demon classifications. Like I guess Mirajane and Minerva might still be able to get into the Temple despite having more demonic essence than the average human. Since their demonic essence is more compared to or related to Etherious than the Galuna demons.
Anyway I just thought it was interesting that natural demons have "too much darkness" and therefore can't go to holy lands but artificial demons like Etherious are some how fine?
Random Lamia headcanons
So these are things I made up about the Lamia squad if anyone ever decides to use any of these for a fic just let me know so I can read it 😋.
Yuka has an ugly burn scar on his back from when a building fell on him during Deliora’s attack but he never lets anyone see it. Only ones that have seen it are Lyon, Toby, Sherry, Jura and Obaba
That Lyon’s team had to do a ton of odd jobs both legal and illegal up northeast to get enough money to get a boat big enough to transport Deliora.
Lyon has a lot of people that resent him from up north because he used to hunt down every enemy that Ur has ever fought and was a little asshole about it and has even had some that had tried to attack him out of revenge down in fiore only to be beaten easily. (He keeps this a secret from Gray)
When Toby Yuka and Sherry arrived at Lamia Scale only Yuka spoke there language so he had to be a translator for the other two. Jura tried to learn it but Yuka being a little sh*t would teach him the wrong words and make Sherry and Toby laugh at him constantly. When around a year later when Jura had found out that Fairy tail had someone that understood Isvan he had requested Makarov asked the boy to send a list of common words for Jura to use. (Years later he wondered why he didn’t just have the kids meet may have prevented a lot of issues.
Jura spoils Sherry rotten it hasn't changed from when she was little only issue was that Chelia managed to join in.
(This is based off a fairy tail character sheet that Sherry hates water) When Deliora attacked the three lives in a town near a harbor and she has been knocked into the freezing cold water hearing the sounds of Deliora’s cries and was luckily rescued but ever since then she had a huge fear of water that lasted for years until she hit her teens, but it resurfaced again for a little while after her fight with Aquarius.
Theres a shop in Margaret that sells authentic Isvan food thanks to Sherry teaching the recipes properly so she gets to eat there for free.
It took a long time for other Lamia scale mages to get used to Lyon. They resented him for taking away the mages that they knew since they were kids and he always had a cold condescending attitude. But after he saved a member who had been the biggest disliker of Lyon on a mission despite getting hurt himself opinions slowly changed especially after Lyon lightened up.
When Chelia first entered the guild she did the same thing Wendy did and tripped and face planted and cried. Still gets teased about it to this day.
When Jura left for the council Lyon basically became second in command having to control the more wild guild members doing paperwork because Baabaa hated doing it organizing events but not a single member was surprised by this.
Lyon has comforted all three of his friends on panic attacks from Deliora on separate occasions but has never let them see any time he has.
(This one I actually made into a request fic by Mnemosyne's Elegy) that Lyon actually was the one that had to cut Ur’s leg off
The first time they ever took Lyon to a beach Toby Sherry and Yuka all would remind Lyon every 30 minutes to put on sunscreen because they all had a bad sunburn experience in the past when they had come to Fiore the first time
Well that’s all I can think about for now I’ll come up with some more when I can find them. Don’t know how many people will read this but worth a shot!
A chapter a day!
Chapter 37/545
Fairy Tail AU:
Silver Fullbuster is Deliora. He was always Deliora, and has just spent the last 400 years since Zeref stopped doing whatever the hell he was doing traveling the world disguised as a human.
"Do you know what his quest for revenge got him? "I wormed my way into his skin. I ate out his heart, hollowed out his insides, crawled into his body. "And now the demon he hated so much lives in his skin. Can you imagine?"
Mood board for one of my all time favorite fanfics, Demon of Redemption, as well as its sequel, Reconstruction (which was just completed) by @mnemosynes-elegy.
I highly recommend this, particularly for people who enjoy stories involving angst, drama, suspense, and strong platonic relationships.
Gruvia Childhood AU
I came up with this one a while ago when I first started watching RWBY. Seeing Renora’s backstory really made me want to write something similar for Gruvia.
I hope you’re ready for the feels!
Title: Not Alone
Pairings: Gruvia
Summary: What if Juvia had been there during Deliora's attack? Just when Gray thought everything was lost and he was all alone in this world, he found a reason to keep going.
Timeline: If the summary isn’t clear, the story is set in X774 when Deliora attacks Gray’s village.
Genre: Angst/Hurt/Comfort
Word Count: around 600 words
Not Alone
It is a tale as old as time…
A broken boy meets a lonely girl…
"Dad! Dad, wake up!" Gray tried shaking his father, but there was no movement from the latter's body.
He spent long minutes doing everything to get the older man's attention; until the truth finally settled in. "No, no, no. Dad, please!"
The young boy began to weep; unable to stop the flow of tears any longer. His hands fell limply by his side as he gave up on trying to awake Silver.
His ears stopped paying attention to the sounds around him; ignoring the distant screams of villagers once the monster went after them.
His scrambled mind tried to come to terms with what had happened and try to figure out his next move; but it was hard; knowing that his parents were dead and he was all alone in this world.
Only he wasn't. Though his family was gone; there was someone else who understood exactly how he felt and she was sitting only a few feet away.
In his distracted state; it took Gray a while to notice her. Only when he heard the demon's roar getting higher and realized it might be approaching did he look away from his father's lifeless body and spot the lonely girl.
The moment their eyes met, he felt a strong urge to protect her. He didn't know if it was caused by the raw fear in her midnight blue orbs or his determination not to let anyone else die; but he didn't dwell on it.
Their connection is immediate and trust is easily established…
Drying his tears, Gray approached her while she stared at him unsurely. "It's okay…I'm not going to hurt you."
She brought her knees closer; tightening her arms around them and moving away from his touch. "You should…leave." The girl sobbed; and he barely realized that it had started to rain.
"We should both leave." He told her; knowing that staying there would only lead to their deaths.
She looked down. "It doesn't matter." Fresh tears began falling. "Wherever I go, the rain will follow."
"So you're the one causing it?" He was impressed; having never met someone who could control the weather.
"I'm sorry." She fixed him with the saddest look. "I can't…control it."
"It's okay." Gray offered a small smile. "I don't mind." With those simple words, he became the person who changed everything and she didn't know what to do.
"Do you…mean it?" The girl asked between sobs.
"Yeah." His smile brightened and he offered a hand. "But we really should get out of here." Seeing the monster approaching them; he knew it was now or never.
She hesitated for a moment, but then nodded, accepting his hand. "Thank you."
Together, they manage to escape a terrible nightmare…
Gray didn't know why she was thanking him, but there was no time to wonder. "What is your name?"
"Juvia." She replied once he helped her stand.
"It means rain." He noted; immediately realizing he shouldn't have said it.
"I don't like it." Juvia frowned and shook her head. Then, she turned to him. "And what is yours?"
"Gray." The young boy told her.
"Like the color." She noted and he smiled.
"Yeah." They stared at each other for a moment, but another roar coming from the monster reminded them it was time to go.
Miraculously; they managed to escape. They ran and ran until they couldn't hear the monster's roars anymore; and that's when they finally caught a break.
Resting on a rock; they watched from a safe distance as his home was destroyed; and he felt his heart breaking even more.
It was unsettling how quickly everything had fallen apart; but looking back at the gloomy girl by his side; Gray was thankful that he wouldn't be alone at least.
And even after everything has fallen apart, they will have each other. Always.
