‘‘we’re one hour out, Ms. St. Clair.’‘
Olivier took only a moment to glance at his watch before Saxe orbs peered back out the window. Ever since her final admonishment of his actions he’d been putting his everything into his job. And if he was being honest? He welcomed the distraction. For once he decided that those demons that were attempting to eat him alive would be better off fuelling him towards what he needed to do than the self sabotaging he’d fallen victim too once again.
In front her driver was silent. He wasn’t sure the guy ever spoke, and he guessed it was the preferred atmosphere, so Olivier followed suit. Watching. Waiting. All it took was Olivier glancing in the rear view mirror once then twice. It caught his eye straight away.
Their second car lingered just behind, holding the rest of Delphine’s protection detail. The fact that they hadn’t noticed this already had that anger boiling in his blood. But he cooled himself, lifting his hand to press the ear piece that he kept on at all times.
That car was getting way too close.
‘‘Detail two---’‘ He paused for a moment, watching, observing. ‘‘This is Detail one, you have a tail hovering to the back...right hand size, registration plate Indigo November 30, 71 Hotel.’‘
