Happy valentines everybody! I didn't get the chance to make custom valentines cards last year so here are some for this year! These were very fun to make even if I am a bit early (Writing this on January 29th). Good news though! I have solid foundations for most of our chapters that I'm happy with! So hopefully there will be more content soon. Maybe. If I stop procrastinating (Sorry (I also only have 1 other person helping me with this au right now really so things are kinda slow but I am hoping some of my other friends will be interested in helping)). But things are happening! I promise! But for now I hope everyone has a great day!
Hehehe the secret bosses... My favourite idiots burdened with forbidden knowledge...
Chapter 3's secret boss(es?) are Tangle and Wrangle a brother and sister duo of slinky darkner performers. Theyre tangled together so you fight both at the same time. While not much has been solidly written about them they were once performers in the showgrounds before Visiopolis (the city most of ch3 takes place in) was built. After they couldn't preform anymore they were left abandoned in the showgrounds and eventually got a shadow crystal from Gaster. Because of this knowledge Wrangle became more angry and vengeful while Tangle became quiet and depressed but wishes his sister would stop being so cruel to everyone. Wrangles plan is to use the soul to put on a never ending performance for a captive audience and gain freedom from being forgotten. Their fight would use the purple soul mode.
Chapter 4's secret boss also hasn't got much set in stone yet but he was once a strong warrior that ruled with his siblings peacefully until the knights assistants arrived and overthrew them all. Soon after he met Gaster and got a shadow crystal which caused him to want to go back to before everything changed when he knew what to expect from each day and to be free from the knowledge he was given. His siblings however don't want to go back they enjoy the freedom of being able to do new things without worrying about the kingdom. Fortunately for him he can mask his insanity quite well and plans or combining with his siblings to take the soul and go back in time and make everyone happy. His fight would use the orange soul mode. (I want to keep what he is and his name a secret for now so see if you can guess! Hopefully soon he will have a solid design and so will his siblings.)
Chapter 5's secret boss is of course Revera! Ive detailed most of her story in another post so I wont go in much detail here but she is the angel doll Kris and Asriel made that had wings that were too big and broke. Her plan is to use the power of the Reverie shard to start the Roaring and drown the angels heaven. Her fight uses the green soul mode. (Fun fact! She was the first character to be thought of for the au and is the whole reason the au came to be! Her design, personality, and backstory have changed A LOT since then though.)
Chapter 6's "secret"/final boss is Stella. The deal with chapter 6's fountain is that it shouldn't have been made because its not in the prophecy so the fountains will doesn't affect the rulers much. Because of this the rulers are quite innocent and just want to play games with the lightners. Stella is a telescope Dess gave to Noelle years ago but isint used much anymore. She took care of the rulers since they were kids when the king and queen (Asriel and Dess) disappeared. Her role is a astronomer who you see slowly turn into the "secret" boss of the chapter. Her idea of freedom is destroying the players connection to the world and freeing Kris so fate isint governed by a higher power. She can also perfectly remember when you reload after you die. Her fight would be a 1 on 1 fight at the fountain using the blue soul mode. (Another fun fact! Stella is the whole reason Shining Hope has 10 chapters! I thought the idea of her was cool and felt making the bunker and roaring take place in the same chapter would be too long so we extended it too 10 chapters long.)
Chapter 7's boss(es?) is my image_friend take named Cheshire and Everyman who is the man behind the tree. Its of course based off of friend inside me and is a parallel to the players relationship with Kris. Cheshire's story is that hes one of the pieces of Gaster given form by the depths. Before the war Gaster was much more friendly and a jokester like Sans but he lost that during the war. That joy and childishness became Cheshire a being who has godlike power compared to many other characters and is fully aware of the player. He has one flaw however: he doesn't know the damage he does. His power has destroyed many things and killed some people but he only thinks they don't want to play with him anymore. He's the whole reason Dess is gone and Kris is traumatized. He thinks everything is a game but nobody wants to play with him long enough. Of course he learned about the player and only sees us as a friend who would play forever and ever. Thats what his fight is. A battle with Noelle in the place inbetween where he plays his first game with you. After you beat him he's overjoyed and decides to leave you alone while he starts planning your next game. This fight uses the cyan soul.
Chapter 8's bosses come in 2 phases. First is the freedom rush where Cheshire uses the other secret bosses as vessels to play another game with you. Its so chaotic you dont even get a chance to attack or act! You just have to survive until Cheshire finds it boring. Once he does he leaves the secret bosses bodies and gets worried that after you disconnect from DELTARUNE he wont have anyone to play with anymore so he drags the soul into his own little pocket dimension and uses his true form in a game that he will keep going FOREVER. Luckily the other secret bosses can access the dimension using their knowledge and help you. Afterwards the bosses, Susie, and Ralsei tell him about how much destruction he could cause and say they will be friends with him as long as he plays nice. The freedom rush would use all previous soul modes and the second Cheshire fight would use the switch soul mode.
Chapter 9's boss is the Discarded titan. In chapter 7 the vessel/Discarded knight ends up offing itself due to fear of being controlled by the soul after you beat it. Due to its lack of soul and being made of darkness it turns to the same liquid darkness the fountains are made of and basically dies. This is until the roaring happens and the water it turned into clings to determination tricking you into giving it a shadow crystal which it uses as a replacement soul and takes on the massive form of the discarded titan. If you manage to spare the titan it will use the power of the shadow crystal to turn back into the form of the vessel and use the shadow crystal as a soul so it can keep on existing.
And finally chapter 10's boss is Chara the one from Undertale. The angels heaven gives lightners a false world of what they most desire. Luckily as the Angel you can access and wake the lightners up from these false worlds. The Chara you fight here was also present in the depths in chapter 7 and has found a perfect world. One where they are reunited with their brother Asriel and where Toriel and Asgore never got divorced. There was no plan to break the barrier. They don't want to wake up from this world but deep down they know they have to. Thats why they fight you to try and stop you from waking them up but you win. They give you a weapon or amour and then leave. They aren't seen again after this.

Well, what's are the dark worlds in your deltarune au, who's the main bosses, and is there weird routes in your Aus?
Chapter 3 of course is the Dreemurr house. Its rulers or Tenna (The tv ofc) and Anne (Antenna) there is no weird in chapter 3 as Noelle is not present. Chapter 4 takes place in flower king and its rulers are Gami (Eviction notice) and Inq (Fountain pen) theres not technically a weird route in chapter 4 but Berdly's absence changes a few events as he no longer joins the party. Chapter 5 takes place in the church and its rulers are Lectshure (Lectern) and Gospell (Book of gospels) there is a weird route in chapter 5 as Noelle joins the party again. Chapter 6 takes place in the holiday manor. Its rulers haven't been developed much yet I've been referring to them as the prince and princess personally but I'll give them proper names at some point but I know one will be a christmas tree star. It also has a weird route as Noelle joins again. Chapter 7 initially takes place in a lake dark world but that changes to the bunker/depths quite quickly. Its main bosses are a group of creatures I call the pawns (Because chess theory) but theyre all pieces of Gaster that joined Yemlius. The leader of this group is Whisper who is based of Redacted from undertale but the final boss of chapter 7 is the vessel/discarded knight. Chapter 7 is the end of the weird route where it all comes to light and you end up soft-locked at the end unable to do anything except leave the save file. Chapter 8s dark world is all of hometown during the festival. The main boss is the Roaring knight (Clipse Holiday who is the mayor). Chapter 9 takes place during the roaring where you have to defeat a few major titans and of course Yemlius who is the main boss of the chapter. Chapter 10 takes place within the angels heaven where you have to "wake up" the lightners that have joined your party over the game to defeat the main boss who I want to keep as a surprise for now.
Was sorta asking about the story and how it deviates from the main game (apart from, you know, being a prediction ig) but either way cool
Oh sorry! Ill go into the story here then.
I think the biggest deviation from what we know of the main game is that there are 4 knights being Mayor holiday (The roaring knight), Dess (The lost knight), The vessel (The discarded knight), and finally Kris (The silent knight). They are all opening fountains for a Titan named Yemlius who has promised them their deepest wishes. For the mayor its a perfect world where nobody gets sick or goes missing. For Dess its to go back home to the light world. For Kris its to go back to a simpler time when Dess and Asriel were still around and their parents weren't divorced. For the vessel its a soul of their own so they can truly exist. Yemlius is of course lying to them. His goal is to gain access to the world and destroy it all. He wants to destroy the world of deltarune because it was made by Gaster instead of one of us (What he refers to as Angels). Gaster summoned us because his previous experiment (A previous version of deltarune which had no player) fell to the roaring. His goal is to change fate in such a way that the world survives the roaring hence the "CREATING A NEW FUTURE" he talked about on twitter before chapter 1 released. This is also why he drove the secret bosses insane as doing so would change fate further and gave the player the opportunity to gain powerful items that could help the succeed in beating Yemlius.
