So uh... I have had more luck playing Deltarune so far than I ever did with Undertale. 

Admittedly that may because the game eventually gets to a point of holding the door open after I’ve failed to complete the button puzzles seventeen times in a row, and I have currently put the game away because I was getting frustrated at the ‘don’t touch the light’ hallway puzzle, but still...

I managed to get that far.
