While I don't know the language, I love how important the Japanese translation of Deltarune is to further understand the game/lore.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure a good chunk, if not the entire translation, was done by Toby himself, and that's so important because it give you another point of view of the messages he wants to send to the player.
One of my favorite detail (and again I know very little about Japanese Deltarune) is the pipis/Spamtenna scene in chap 3. In English, whether Tenna recognized Spamton or not was left pretty ambiguous. But in the Japanese translation, Tenna's "what the..?!" was changed to something along the lines of "it can't be..?!", pretty much implying he didn't just recognized Spamton, he also seems to be in denial about what he sees. I rarely see this detail brought up in Spamtenna related videos/analysis, I think it's so important. Like there's still people insisting that Tenna didn't recognize Spamton in that scene. He did. Oh he absolutely did, Tenna is much more aware of what's going on than we think. One of the key aspect of this character is that he knows the reality of things but he looooves taking refuge in denial and pretending nothing's wrong, nothing changed, no little mailman was turned into a puppet abomination because of HIS doing.
But yeah. It's not just "Deltarune but Japanese", it's litteraly Toby rewording story aspects. Wish more attention was brought to it, because honestly it left me wondering what other scenes/details sound completely different than the English version.
