Happy International Women's Day 2024
This day 6 years ago, I wrote a comment in Del Vento ch.82 about International Women's Day too (and what's more coincident, this chapter's story also talked about underprivileged women who had to prostituted themselves). For nostalgic reasons, I'll post that comment' screenshot and translate it here.
On this Mar.8, International Women's Day, I wish all women to believe in themselves, live with infinite possibilities, and dare to thrive.
(writer'scomment) Translation - "Mar.8 is International Women's Day, the day to remind us about our 'underprivileged people' which are about half of humanity.
From the day first few groups of women protested and demanded their rights till this day, even though our world has developed in most aspects women's rights are still underdeveloped. Some reasons are because women didn't believe in themselves and didn't accept fellow women's capabilities.
In the latest USA presidential election, there were still a lot of women who believed that 'Leader must be male', 'Women aren't suited for leader roles', and 'Women aren't capable of administrating'. I wish women in the next era will dare to thrive, be bold enough to challenge their limits, be brave enough to support other women and stop envying each other."

วันนี้วันสตรีสากล (8 มีนาคม 2564) ขณะกำลังคิดว่าจะพูดถึงเกี่ยวกับอะไรก็นึกถึง Del Vento ตอน 82 ที่เผยแพร่ราว 6 ปีก่อน ตอนนั้นตรงส่วนความคิดเห็นผู้เขียนก็เขียนเรื่องวันสตรีสากลเหมือนกัน (เนื้อเรื่องของตอน 82 ก็พูดถึงผู้หญิงที่ด้อยโอกาสจนต้องขายตัวแลกเงินด้วย) เห็นว่าบังเอิญดีเลยแคปมาลงให้ดูเพื่อระลึกความหลังกัน
จากวันนั้นถึงวันนี้แม้ความเหลื่อมล้ำในสังคมจะดูเหมือนลดลงแต่ก็แค่ในระดับผิวเผิน ลึกๆ แล้วความเกลียดชังเพศหญิงยังมีอยู่และมีแนวโน้มจะรุนแรงขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เพียงแต่รูปแบบเปลี่ยนไปทำให้คนส่วนใหญ่ดูไม่ออกและหลายครั้งผู้หญิงเองเป็นผู้ริเริ่มและสนับสนุนความเกลียดชังเพศหญิงด้วยซ้ำ ผู้เขียนเองก็ทำอะไรไม่ได้มากนอกจากพยายามสร้างทัศนคติที่ดีในงานเขียนของตัวเองและเขียนบทความเพื่อเพิ่มความเข้าใจและลดความเกลียดชังต่อเพศหญิงให้น้อยลง (แต่ก็ไม่รู้จะมีแรงทำได้ถึงเมื่อไรเพราะงานแบบนี้นายทุนไม่ชอบ แม้แต่ผู้อ่านส่วนใหญ่เองก็ยังไม่อยากสนับสนุนงานแบบนี้เท่าไร ผิดกับงานแนวอื่นที่ผู้อ่านจะยินดีไลค์ แชร์ หรือพูดถึงแนะนำให้ผู้อื่นอ่านหรือมาช่วยสนับสนุนมากกว่า)
ผู้เขียนหวังว่าผู้หญิงในยุคหลังจากนี้จะรักและรู้คุณค่าของตัวเอง สามารถลดความเกลียดชังเพศหญิงและค่านิยมบูชาเพศชายออกไปได้มากกว่าผู้หญิงยุคก่อนและใช้ชีวิตได้อย่างเต็มศักยภาพมากขึ้น ค่านิยมเหล่านี้เป็นสิ่งที่ทุกคนถูกปลูกฝังมาตั้งแต่เกิดจากสังคมและคนรอบข้าง ผู้เขียนคงไม่เพ้อฝันขนาดหวังว่าจะมีวันกำจัดออกไปได้หมดแค่ลดลงไปได้มากกว่าผู้หญิงในยุคนี้ก็พอ
ปล. ขอแสดงความเสียใจต่อการจากไปของ อ. โทริยาม่า อาคิระ หนึ่งในนักเขียนการ์ตูนที่เป็นแรงบันดาลใจในวัยเด็กของผู้เขียน ตอนหัดวาดรูปใหม่ๆ ผู้เขียนก็หัดจากการวาดเลียนแบบภาพจากเรื่องดราก้อนบอล ขอให้วิญญาณของ อ. ได้พบกับสันติสุขชั่วนิรันดร์
