The title Bananas, Sardines and Sharks is a reference to The Shark and the Sardines, one of the first accounts written about the Guatemalan coup, by Jacobo Arbenz's predecessor Juan José Avéralo, and the first to accuse the American government of being involved.

Hello from delve!

delve is a new web video channel, launching January 2014. At least once a month we'll publish an original and thought-provoking video essay with one aim: to inspire your curiosity.

There's a world worth of knowledge out there but it's trapped away in old books and academic journals. We're going to find it and unlock it by making it unashamedly fascinating.
