i have absolutely no idea. bc we agreed verbally on it, but there is no written agreement? but the actual contract for the house has like 5 million changes and crossings out on it bc people left and other people replaced them and the whole thing is like a computer print out with handwriting all across it, where i am on until august but everyone else finishes in june, but we TALKED ABOUT THIS and he agreed i would leave in june as well bc it made the most sense, and besides how can 4 people be on a joint contract but one has to stay much longer?

also he only ever wants the rent in cash, hes v v v violently opposed to bank transfers/cheques, so im like extremely certain there is some sort of tax dodge going on, and therefore like can he even try and get some kind of legal action going?

the only thing im sure about is our deposit was done through a legit scheme, but the actual rent payments i have no clue about bc haaaa im shit at adult things like not renting a house from dodgy weirdos

at present i am waiting on an email from him, i'm still being v polite but firm and i am still hopefull re: making him back down, bc you just have to tell him something a million times before he goes along with it (eg: 'the sink has been leaking for 3 weeks now can you please call a plumber, you cant fix this yourself, youve tried, oh how you have tried, its been the most tragic comedy but you have to stop now')

on the one hand yes but on the other hand he doesn't even do this out of malice?? he's just EXTREMELY inept and also unwilling to spend any money on home repair

ty i will take you up on that offer, there is like a 50% chance i will do a murder i stg. he's extremely weak willed so i'm going to argue with him a bit and hope for the best. murder is the backup plan tho
