An elderly with dementia showcases varied symptoms depending upon the stage in which they are. They become confused, are agitated, and repeat the same words, phrases, or sentences. It's up to the caregivers to interpret and understand what is being communicated. Pain is common throughout, whether they are not understood, agitated with something, or have other challenging behaviors.
