#demitale redesign

Nobody asked for this but since I was at it, I decided to go ahead and give Sans a new ref as well.

DEMI!SANS

Sans is a member of the Royal Guard just second in command below Undyne. He is infamous, known as the kings judge and executioner. Unlike his brother, he shows little mercy for disobedience. This is not to say that he enjoys bloodshed. Sans merely makes up for what his brother and those below are lacking to appease the Kings rage. As a result, Sans carries a heavy burden, which he attempts to lighten by cracking horrible puns every now and again.

If you take suggestions for redesigns still, may we see redesigns for Demitale Papyrus and Demitale Undyne? It’ll be fun to see the sparring pair together and how much their designs have changed!

Ayy no worries I still do take suggestions, just had a bit of an artblock. I did not draw them sparring but have my new takes on Demitale Papyrus and Undyne:

DEMI!PAPYRUS

The old Demi!Papyrus used to kinda be this cinnamon roll that needed to be protected at all costs. I no longer like that idea. I feel it no longer matches this story and infantilizes the actual character. Therefore I re-imagined him as part of the royal guard working under Sans and Undyne. He is the most strong willed monster in the underground, as he never falls to become a full Demon. As a Royal Guard he is forced to do some gruesome things, but he will do anything in his power to avoid violent outcomes. He is keeping the people safe from the tyrant king, even if this is not always possible. In other words, if you get captured by a royal guard you better hope it is Papyrus. His relationship with his brother is strained due to their situation, but Papyrus empathy allows him to remain patient.

DEMI!UNDYNE

Undynes story remains the same for the most part. She is still the Captain of the Royal Guard who once faced the tyrant king and was utterly defeated. The burn scar on her face a constant reminder of her failure.

Everyday she is waiting for the right moment to strike again, to fight back. But her hope for such a moment is fading and she is on thin ice when it comes to keeping her sanity. Weather or not the fire inside of her reignites depends on the little human.

Least this is the base idea for now :) Do with it whatever you want.

For the next redesign, Mettaton and Napstablook would be nice. And some new info would be nice too, like why is Napstablook a robot too.

One Demitale Mettaton and Napstablook comming right up.

For Mettaton I did not like the old design very much so I took more from the canon design really. I opted for "Hard-Light" wings to reference Charas Ravens. As for Napstablooks design: I wanted these two to be a pair of guards, so I matched their design to match Mettatons new Look. I also went for speakers, to reference their love for making music. Why is Napstablook a Robot? In short: Napsta was forced to possess a Body in order to be of greater value to King Asgore. Mettaton became living proof of how potent of a weapon Ghost-Monsters can be, given the right body. So Asgore ordered for more Robots like Mettaton to be made. Napsta tried to escape this but was sadly unable to avoid their fate. Napsta is now positioned mainly at Alphys lab in hotland where they Serve as the scientists Guardian. While Mettaton serves Asgore by spreading propaganda via the TV shows and serving as a deadly weapon to intimidate. They are both part of the Royal Guard. On a side note: NEO forms are essentially if they have "fallen down" and gave in to become demons. So you will essentially only see these forms if you have pushed them beyond their limits.

The Roster and story is starting to come together ngl. Let me know who you wanna see next :)

DemiTale Alphys for the Redesigns? Idk if you ever had designed Alphys in the first place tbh but I would love to see it xD

There you go a Demitale Alphys Redesign :)

I thought it would make sense for her to have cyborg parts seeing as she is good with robotics and has to often work with very dangerous and feral demons. She might have lost a limb or two that way.

And yes I had designed Alphys before, here is the old one:

The wings definitely felt out of place so I removed them.
