Can we get some more HC’s about the demigod of Kronos? Like what’s the dynamic between this kid and the Olympian’s? Any friends at camp (since we know a lot of campers will be weary of them)? Does this demigod go on quests—or are they not even trusted to do anything important?
Well with what I have set up in the headcanons, it's pretty turbulent and it's a really long road ahead. I wanna say the relationship between them and the Olympians is very much like walking on thin ice AND eggshells, and any wrong move, regardless how minor it is, gives them the opportunity to smite them.
(Also sorry for ignoring this request for so long! I accidentally missed it when I’ve been busy writing asks and writing stuff, and general life stuff in between all of that, taking care of my dad who just had open heart surgery so these past weeks have been busy!)
Alright back to the question! Here we go!!
I want to say for those on the Olympian council who do not like the Kronos demigod would be:
Zeus for obvious reasons. Following that is Hera because as the Queen of the Gods and Zeus’ wife, she’ll follow and support his decision.
Then there’s Athena based on past interactions of other demigods and her logical demeanor would take into account the possibility of how much a threat the Kronos demigod poses; much like how Athena disapproved Percy for a long while; not only because he was a son of Poseidon, her oppositional deity in Athens, a child of the Big Three which there was an Oath that was supposed to be upheld to prevent the Great Prophecy.
There’s also Ares, mostly because he wants them to slip up and start another war (or action) to have, and probably doesn’t see the benefit of letting them live.
There’s also Artemis given she is responsible with keeping monsters at bay and acts on Zeus’s commands; the only exception for the Goddess of the Moon’s attitude to the Kronos demigod if they were a demigod daughter of Kronos. Mostly because young girls are under Artemis’ protection and the another option for them would be to join the huntresses; not because Artemis wants them in personally, but mostly it’ll allow the goddess to keep an eye on the Kronos demigod.
Demeter may be one contender since she was one of the first babies that Kronos swallowed so she doesn’t have any good basis for Kronos; following her siblings Zeus and Hera. Unless the Kronos demigod unlocks their time power and dedicates that solely to farming, she doesn’t have strong feelings towards the demigod.
For those who are more partial or supportive of the Kronos demigod would be, according to my story idea that i had writing the h/cs:
Hermes would be a supporter because as I’ve written, its because the Kronos demigod would resemble his son Luke and that the Kronos demigod is implied to be his kid; even without the Luke context, I think it's implied that Hermes knew Kronos would have Luke as his host, so I think he would be more sympathetic to the Kronos demigod because they are a victim of Kronos like his son was; Hermes would still see Luke in the demigod but slightly different.
I think Apollo would be sympathetic or not as hostile to the Kronos demigod, especially after the Trials of Apollo events and his new character development making him more empathetic and open minded that the Kronos demigod isn’t responsible for the Titan’s actions and crimes. There’s also the fact if the Kronos demigod is a boy, which falls under his protection as a protector of young boys.
Thirdly, I think Apollo would support the Kronos demigod because of Hermes, because mythologically, Hermes and Apollo have a good relationship so I’d imagine he knows how Hermes thinks or has listened to Hermes’ reasons.
Maybe Poseidon but it is a stretch because he too was one of the first babies to be swallowed so it's not like he doesn’t have his own bias and knows how much of a potential threat they are. However, I want to think after all the events of the Second Titan War, how much peril and hardship Percy had to go through because he was his son and was seen as a threat for the Great Prophecy, Poseidon is a little softer to the demigod because it would be like Percy all over again.
Does it mean Poseidon will go out of his way to help them? No. However, he’s not exactly waiting on the edge of his seat to wait for them to mess up once and to smite them.
Those who are (completely) Neutral in all of this are: Hephaestetus, Aphrodite, Hades, Hestia, and Dionysus.
Hephaestus has always been seen as an outsider amongst the Olympians, so he hardly thinks they’ll want his opinion and he doesn’t want to be concerned with such a thing. It's not like he doesn’t know how much of a threat the Kronos demigod can be, but at the same time, it's not exactly relevant in all terms and purposes.
Aphrodite is a love goddess so it's hardly in her to care and she may be supportive for Ares, who wants them to mess up and cause a war because it makes him happy, otherwise she doesn’t have the strongest, personal feelings towards the Kronos demigod. Maybe for the Drama and even potential doomed, tragic love the Kronos demigod may experience but until then? She doesn’t have strong feelings either way much like Hephaestus.
Hades does not care much either. He is aware and does see the threat the demigod of Kronos may pose, however until they do anything that actually threatens them, it's not really his place to care. He may be more involved with Olympians after the first books but he’s busy with the Underworld. Ultimately, the reason he doesn’t care as much is because the Kronos demigod is mortal. Sooner or later, they’ll be in his domain and then he’ll think about it.
He’s busy taking care of the Underworld, dealing punishment to the wicked and rewarding the good, and most importantly, spending his limited time with his lovely wife Persephone (by gods damn it, he only has a few months with her!!) and playing fetch with Cerberus.
Hestia who by and large should be ultimately off put by the Kronos demigod as she was the first baby to be swallowed by Kronos and that having an effect why she is a virgin goddess and etc, I think she doesn’t have much of a reaction towards the demigod of Kronos because she would know their origins and how they came to be, the fact she too is a child of Kronos and hardly they should be accounted for their parent’s actions, and the fact they are simply a demigod. However, most importantly, they are technically family and she is the oldest of the Olympians so she’s a lot more reasonable.
And finally there is Dionysus. I mean he’s Dionysus, he already doesn’t like demigods most of the time at Camp Halfblood and he’ll be dealing with the Kronos demigod whether he likes it or not, mostly because of Zeus’s orders just because he’s (forced) to be the Camp Director.
He’s already frustrated being at Camp, then being told to look for every slip up the Kronos demigod does to justify getting rid of them, but at the same time, he’s aware of the unfair treatment towards demigods because he too suffered the same thing because of Hera, because he was a demigod of Zeus, and he knows what’s like to prove yourself to the gods (which is how he became a demigod to a god).
He may not be the biggest supporter of the Kronos demigod, but for every minor slip up, Dionysus would just roll his eyes at Zeus like:
“Father, they’re children with swords. Just because their sword cut your kid, it doesn’t mean it was an all out war. If you didn’t want your son/daughter to be hurt by them, then why did you let them hold a sword/ why are you letting [the Kronos demigod] be stuck here?”
and go on how much trouble and injuries he endured on his quest to become a god and Zeus didn’t help him either.
As long the Kronos demigod doesn’t intentionally cause harm to others and follows the rules the other campers follow, then they’re technically under his care, and he’s Dionysus, his entire cult was composed of followers who didn’t care for social hierarchy, race, and other kind of barriers (and were all about partying and being drunk) so he doesn’t really care.
As for friends, yeah it won’t be easy. They do probably have support like Percy and Annabeth, and also Grover and Juniper by connection. There may be Thalia who doesn’t believe it either from learning from Artemis and Percy and the others until she sees them in the flesh; and there’s definitely some level of sentimentality from her.
However, they’re mostly there for the Kronos demigod because they see Luke and themselves in the demigod. (i.e. Percy and his own experience with the gods during the Great Prophecy).
In my headcanons, maybe the demigod of Prometheus mainly because they are in the same boat as the demigod of Kronos is in, except they are somewhat protected by Hestia as one of her flamekeepers/priest(ess) so they stick together in sympathy as a flock. Will it probably make Zeus more skeptical towards them? Probably, but they take what they have at this point.
Otherwise, whatever friends the Kronos demigod may have is up to their own efforts. It won’t be easy to deal with and there may be times they want to cross that line, but with their own efforts to prove who they are and be who they are, they’ll eventually find friends who will support them.
The Kronos demigod will probably be assigned quests, with the pretense to prove themself but they’re all dangerous quests to begin with; mostly because Zeus or the other gods want them to fail and possibly die on their quest. Is it a death mission? Probably but many quests demigods go on always have that possibility but they always have the possibility of being completed.
And when they are assigned quests to prove themself, the Kronos demigod is not entirely alone in their efforts and that’s some comfort isn’t it?
