Demigods worst nightmare not getting smited or eaten by monsters but ending up on Hephaestus TV
Ω PJO MISC. DEMIGOD HEADCANONS: 🐺LETO👰 "TITAN GODDESS OF MOTHERHOOD AND DEMURENESS, & PROTECTOR OF THE YOUNG" {Wave 8.0.}
A/N: > Tosses Leto and her demigods at you
Here. I caved in because I can't go through my asks with the spamming of the Leto demigod. Now let me work in peace.
Did some research on this and I should hope you guys know that mentions of Leto were not easy to find and I almost had to deep dive into actual occult texts. Found some other mentions of Leto and stuff, but a lot of stuff of Leto aren't just there or are usually acquainted with Apollo, Phoebe, and other gods. This is why I didn't want to write Leto because there's not really much to write about so I tried.

Headcanons about demigod powers
I think everyone's powers in PJO (except Percy) were very underutilized. Like Hermes is a psychopomp, one of his kids should be seeing the dead and knowing death dates. Or Demeter, I think it would be really cool if, instead of plant powers, one of her kids had more winter powers. Or Aphrodite, some sort of emotion-tuning, see different kinds of love, ocean controlling, frenzy, mob powers. And don't get me started on Ares or Athena. This is going to be a rant, bear with me:
Okay, my headcannon for an Ares kid is that the longer a fight lasts, the stronger they get, and they can heal much faster in battle, so monsters need sneak attacks. They can also do killing intent like in Naruto and read people's intents, like if they're bloodthirsty or scared, or whatever. Their adrenaline is actually supernatural, like instant combat readiness, and fear of death doesn't paralyze them, it makes their ADHD go overtime. They are also the most ADHD kids in camp. They instinctively know if the fight will turn, and if a fight's happening, they can naturally intensify it around them to draw monsters closer. Anger boosts speed, strength, and reflexes, and once they decide to fight, taunts, fear tactics, and intimidation don’t work. Kinda like Reyna, they can give their allies resistance to fear and panic, and plans or tech, etc, degrade the longer you're in a fight with them. Basically, with children of Ares, ambushes are best because they have ALL the power once they start fighting back.
For Athena, there have been one or two kids with ocean-related powers, but most of their powers are more subtle. I headcannon them like Ares kids, they're immune to emotional manipulation and charms, think best under pressure, and when they're focused, they can literally just shut out distractions entirely. They're like the Batman of PJO. They always have backup plans, they sense danger before it appears, they notice what others miss, they're unbelievably patient and can find exactly what they need, or have Ladybug's lucky sight showing what they need. They remember everything, they have a mental library/occlumency like in Harry Potter. They can "read" old magic, symbols, and rituals instinctively, and once they gain an advantage, it WILL snowball. They always know where to stand, they have Athena's quick thought, where they can simulate outcomes seconds to hours ahead, they rapidly learn any craft or tool, and if they have proper supplies, they can fix almost anything with enough time. When they speak, people will listen even if they don't get why. One of Athena's things is justice, so maybe her kids can also sense lies/half-truths/self-deception, and see long-term consequences of actions. Anyway, I think a child of Athena will be the strongest before the fight starts. Maybe more flashy powers are that their attacks never miss the true target, or they can instantly adapt to enemy styles
I WISH we saw Annabeth talking to an owl, or Clarisse to a boar. If Percy can talk to ALL animals of the sea + horses, how come they can't?
personal headcanon that demigod blood is sliiightly shimmery (they have some ichor but not like a crazy amount) and it’s just enough that their blood is a little more on the reddish-orange side and has a metallic sheen to it
but also because mica is a neutralizer I think their blood woukd have a less coppery/tangy taste and would be more earthy in flavor
this sounds SO weird but just like hear me out okay
"My family come from a long line of people who should not have kids, much less with eachother and had them anyway."

IDEA FOR PHONES FOR DEMIGODS!
Remember how, in the original PJO books, Chiron had a computer in the Big House and the he was able to use it because it was plated with Celestial Bronze, therefore stopping monsters from sensing the data signals? Well, why can't demigods do that with Celestial Bronze? I can totally see a Hephaestus kid or Vulcan kid inventing something like this for demigods. Then Festus can be the built-in AI!
And the Athena kids can supply everything for the search engine and they will invent demigod Duolingo, digital archives, and other educational software!
Hermes kids could work on the demigod equivalent of Google Maps, WhatsApp, Social Media, etc. because Hermes is the god of travel, speed, communication, commerce, and trade, so I can definitely see his kids creating social media, apps for planning travel, WiFi, and a bunch of other things responsible for connectivity. But the Iris kids would definitely be in on all the communication apps and technology.
The musically-inclined Apollo kids like Austin and the children of the Muses are obviously in charge of the demigod equivalents of apps like Spotify, Bandlab, YouTube, and TikTok.
The Aphrodite kids and Venus kids are responsible for dating apps.
The Eris and Discordia kids made Discord and named it after their mom.
And all of this can be sold at the Camp Half-Blood store or in New Rome. There can be phones, laptops, TVs, computers, everything!
And all of this is very possible as Hermes said that he invented the internet.
In case anyone can't tell, I'm kind of upset with Uncle Rick for changing the "Technology is a Beacon for Monsters to Fond Demigods" thing in the show. There is such a clever way to circumvent that! We see it in the books! Just make the battery cover out of Celestial Bronze! Or, even better, take a page out of Daedalus's book and have the tech run on magic the way Daedalus's Laptop does! There were seriously so many cool ways to solve the technology problem in the show rather than taking thay problem out of the lore of the show entirely, ESPECIALLY WHEN THAT BIT OF LORE IS STILL THERE IN THE SENIOR YEAR ADVENTURES!
Nemesis Kid Headcanons
They usually don’t fight in Demigod v. Demigod wars because they can feel the other persons pain
Adding onto that, in VERY SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES, they can heal other people. But this causes them to take on the injury themselves, so only very rarely do they use that ability.
They are expert negotiators, usually getting both sides fair deals, it is usually in good faith to send a Nemesis kid as a negotiator because then the other side will know you mean well
imagining the Apollo Cabin having a shoebox or something filled with all the half-written unfinished songs of their deceased siblings. Once a year they all gather together on the floor of the cabin and sing them all just as they are written. The one-year anniversary of being claimed as a demigod is getting to learn. All of the kids have them memorized, even music isn't they're primary affinity.
