Seriously, tho. Being part of the Osama Bin Laden raid gives you bragging rights for life that Chuck Norris would be envious of.
But a piece of fabric is a threat to your masculinity?
Steve Bannon: “I fight for the working class American man who is against fraud, foreign corruption and the rich elites.” Also Steve Bannon: “I just got arrested for fraud on a $35 million dollar yacht owned by a rich elite foreign billionaire.”
Are elections bad for democracy
Elections are the epitome of what one might describe as a perfect democracy. It gives people the power to choose who will run their country and gives them a chance to gain confidence of who will govern them on their own prescribed terms. All the points above give a positive status to elections but are they really the sugar that sweetens the tea of democracy?
The word ' Election' when put into simple words means the task of choosing. They offer a choice to people to elect a representative who will ensure that their demands are met. Elections also offer the facility to change a representative for the forthcoming term if they are unhappy with the current leadership. They allow different views to hold power rather than one ideology consuming a country.
Despite so many advantages, elections do have some disadvantages. Elections can often be corrupted. Voters can be bought by money and gifts. Election campaigns may also ignite discriminatory feelings among people as the campaign agendas are often dicey and one sided in nature.
In Conclusion, the positives of elections outweigh the negatives. Elections to a far extent are not bad for democracy and quite literally enhance it. Maybe it is the sugar we need to sweeten the tea.
