LMAO, there is no escape for me now. Here have our favorite half-demon boy’s back story: (part I, part II, all the edits)
Born from a demon mother and a human father, Hyde grow up used to his mom bringing 'uncles' to their home... who never got to see the light of day. As a kid, seeing this every day, he never wondered if that was okay until he met Forman. The kid become his best friend, and his family's home his new favorite place.
Fortunately for him, Kitty and Red never got the idea of what Edna truly did with the man that visited her, they only thought she nailed them and didn't care of her kid. So when the parents showed concern about him and tried to talk to his mother, he knew something was about to go terribly wrong.
Like an already written story, Edna manaced to kill him for putting her in a dangerous situation with two humans wanting to step in their house, and Hyde knew it was time to do something about it.
Facing his mother was both, the most brave thing he ever did and also the most stupid one. The demon could have killed him, but he managed to stand up by his own at nine and survive her rage. Edna ended up going away and he swore to one day send her back to hell. He may never be able to kill her, but he can send her back home.
After that, he was taken by the Formans and educated himself in secret on the demon arts until he met Leo. The man may be lost almost all the time, but he sure as hell knows what he is talking about when it comes to supernatural understanding. Hyde didn't had to expose his case to be taken under Leo's wing, since the man recognized his eyes: he has demon eyes.
Not very happy with this new information, he started to wear the sunglasses to cancel his stare as he learned how to control that power. Almost all demons got it, the Penitent, is their way to catch the human's attention, some kind of hypnosis. Leo teachs him to control it and also use the rest of his powers and knowlodge for his new job.
Demon hunting is a bitch, though. There are all kind of demons and all of them fear to go back to hell. Being in the human world means freedom for them and Hyde knows they will make anything in their cold hands to stay there. But so will he to send them back home.
He met Jackie when he found her in the mythology section of their school's library, searching for information on witches. After a little chat, she confessed to think her mother may be one, since she can't understand how she gets to keep her looks when she is such an alcoholic, and also catch's every damn men's attention, included her ex-boyfriend.
Listening to her terrible house life, made him feel sorry for her, and he started to kind of see her in the library every day. When prom comes and nobody is taking her, he decides to do her this favor after she start crying and he can't resist her.
She declared herself in love with him after that, and Hyde tried to run away from her as much as he could. But his damn attraction to her and stupid heart didn't allow him that. Finally, he decided to go on a date with her, and they agreed on meeting in the local bar when the fire happened and she disappeared that night.
Hyde notices what is going on with Jackie before Donna, without knowing she is also doing her own research and trying to solve the problem. His feelings for her only make him more angry at the fact that his mother has come back and is using the one girl he has ever truly liked for her ugly shit. He can't help but think it may be some kind of revenge against him. Whatever it is, he is having none of Edna's shit and this time, he is going to send her back to hell.
