Octopath au? It’s super stupid ,but like what if Alfyn was cursed with a demon? And that’s the basic Idea for this AU Here’s my ideas for it: -Someone in a Village (not alf) made a powerful demon angry, so in revenge the demon cast bits of themself into the persons Village, it made the humans incredibly sick - Alfyn (who was about 15 at the time) of course wanted to help, but none of his cures seemed to work, the person who caused this told Alfyn the reason for the illness and that there was no cure - he handed Alf a band, a seal, if Alfyn managed to get all of the demon in one place, he could seal it away again -So Alfyn searched for the main body of the demon, a while later he finally did, but the demon was extremely powerful, he couldn’t bring it back by force - the demon instead offered that if Alfyn took the entire curse upon himself, he would leave the other humans in peace, Alfyn of course agreed -the demon planned to possess Alf and use his body to get revenge, and then to do as he pleased in the human realm -but when Alfyn realized the whole demon, bits from the cursed humans and main body, were all trying to take him over at once, he used his quick wit and decided to make himself the container to hold the demon, and pulled up his hair into a ponytail and used the seal as a tie -the demon was sealed, and very angry, but it was still powerful enough to slightly change Alfyn’s form and talk to him through his mind -the demon wouldn’t every quiet down, constantly shouting horrible things into Alfyn’s mind so he couldn’t sleep or think properly, as to try and mentally break Alfyn into doing what they wanted -but that wasn’t working, so instead they attempted to try and befriend Alfyn, tricking him into taking off the seal and then betraying him -but even once Alfyn thought them friends he didn’t take the seal off, not because he didn’t trust the demon, but because they had one time said that the seal was comfortable,making a world inside Alfyn’s mind for the demon to reside in, while without the seal it was a dark empty void with nothing but the thrumming of magic flowing through his body could be seen, felt or heard -The demon realized the had accidentally played themself and had given in, deciding this human was almost unwittingly deserving of the demons respect, they decided to actually befriend Alfyn by giving him their trust, loyalty and name, since the demon knew they would be forced to stay with Alfyn until he died, they decided to make it at least more enjoyable for themself They know Alfyn would never betray them, that’s why they thought it safe to give him their name -now they help Alfyn where they can, and in absolute emergencies (Alfyn’s party is unconscious and he’s low health) Alf’ll remove the seal and dee (as Alfyn calls him) will take care of the rest Anddd that’s it!
