(This... This has to be, the weirdest thing I've written yet and I don't know how to feel about it lmao. *ALSO, hope you feel better soon :)*)
(when Wizard council is brought up, I'm referring to the government, just in wizard form)
Tw: gross spell ingredients I guess and occult practices.
The sound of multiple pages turning and ruffling against each other was the only sound that accompanied the steady bubbling of liquid. Green ooze churned violently but made no actual attempt to boil over the black edges of the cauldron. An old wooden spoon was turning haphazardly in the centre, the handle was not gripped by hand but by a bright glow of teal mist. It's repetitive motions seemed to both fuel and calm the boiling rage that powered the ooze.
"Agh! Curse these old books! Never giving me a clear answer to a single god damn spell!" An angry male voice interrupted the unusually calm atmosphere, followed after by clacking of glass bottles and the ruffling of bags and other miscellaneous items. "These pictures do not help either! Do I add Frogs legs- or- is that a rabbit's foot?.. Ughh!"
"Yelling at the books isn't going to help you, my apprentice." A females voice replied shortly after, noticing the males anger and trying to lower the flames that licked at the surface of his calm resolve. However, it only seemed to fuel it as the man turned around and glared, annoyed at the woman. "I'm NOT your apprentice!"
"You stay here don't you?" "Well yes but!-"
"Under my roof?" "..Obviously.."
"Reading, learning and using my spell books?" "..yes..."
"Then your my apprentice." The male opened his mouth to deny the statement so haphazardly thrown at him but his voice fell short and the words died on his tongue. He had no actual comeback... The woman had completely unravelled him in seconds, something so like her to do... "Mphm..." He made a uncharacteristic noise and the woman laughed loudly. "Are you going to help me or not?" He resigned and she nodded, standing from her seat and making her way to the cauldron. With a wave of her hand, the books that had been laying on a table close by was picked up by coloured mist and moved over to her in an instant.
"You added the Bats blood yes?" She asked as her eyes looked up and down the page, taking and digesting information at a speed that the man has not yet mastered. "Yes. 3 drops." She hummed approvingly and after she read the page one last time, her right hand raised in the direction of the table right next to them. A glass jar was coated in a light teal, mist and it contained a single rabbit's foot, somehow not riddled in decay or any after effects that usually came with death.
The jar opened with a satisfying click, the golden lid floating back to the table as the rabbit's foot floated out of the jar. It moved immediately to the centre of the cauldron, soon after being engulfed by the green ooze. For a few moments, nothing happened. The ooze contained it's angry bubbling but nothing new seemed to occur. The man seemed confused and irritated again, letting out a huff. "Are you sure it was rabbit's fo-" SWOOF
The man let out a startled cry as the cauldron was suddenly coated in a blinding blue light, blue flames licking aggressively at the sides as the liquid morphed and shifted. In a blink, the green ugly colour was taken over by a beautiful blue that glowed similarly to a blue moon. The entire time, the woman stood still, eyes locked onto the transformation with glee and excitement.
"What the hell was THAT?!" The man roared, still in shock as he leaned uncomfortably on a table. "The spell. Now get the amulet." Quickly gaining back his composure, he rushed to a cupboard nearby, grabbing am old, rusty golden necklace.
It had long since seen better days, the colour of gold that usually stood out, vibrant and eye catching had dulled and became a murky representation of what gold usually was. Hanging from the old chain was an equally old golden Butterfly pendant, 2 old blue crystals were used for the butterflies eyes and when light hit them, they glittered prettily.
Making his way back to the cauldron, he handed the amulet to the woman. She smiled at it and hd it close for a moment, muttering a few words that the man didn't hear. She raised it above the blue liquid before dropping it. It, like the rabbit's foot, was engulfed immediately by the liquid. However, the reaction was immediate, unlike the one before.
The liquid seized it's bubbling and boiling, like it had cooled in an instant. Shaking suddenly, the cauldron began to rock and move as if something alive was inside it! With a loud clatter, the metal cauldron fell over suddenly, glowing blue slime spilled all over the floor. But instead of coming to a halt, it moved intricately across the wooden planks, twisting, turning, crossing and lapping. "Is that-"
Realization had hit the man a little too slowly as he realized just what the pattern was. It was a circular symbol, one that was used during occult practices. A sign of the Devil and hell... The liquid stopped, the circle was complete and it glowed brightly. Appearing suddenly in the middle was the golden Amulet again. However, instead of its old appearance like before, it looked brand new. It caught the man's eyes and he couldn't look away... It was.. "Beautiful..." He breathed.
However, it wasn't just the amulet that had appeared in the centre of the circle, slowly a humanoid form morphed, height just slightly above average. In an instant, he had fully appeared, blue eyes peering around the room in curiousity. The woman smiled broadly. "Henry Stickmin... Alas I see you again." She spoke confidently.
The man, 'Henry' stared at her before smiling in delight at a familiar face. "Anastasia! Hello again. You finally summoned me after so long..." What?... Henry? Who?! "Anastasia w-what is this?! Who is he?!" He barked angrily, but he was more frightened then mad and Anastasia knew this. "This is the person that will be helping you with your mission Reginald... You want revenge on the Wizard council yes?" He sputtered, "Y-Yes! They robbed me of everything! My clan- my magic! Bu...but this is- I don't!-" No no this was WAY too much! He needed assistance yes but he meant magic! Something he could use as a weapon! Not a full blown fucking person!
'Henry' shifted his gaze to Reginald, smiling politely, but there was mischief behind that smile. "Hello there." He extended an arm, offering Reginald a handshake. He hesitated, 'Henry' definitely not a human, if the dark teal coloured horns at the sides of his head told him as much. He had heard of Witches and evil sorcerers contacting and making deals with demons for power or help before but had never actually believed it was still a practice today. Henry shifted slightly, the golden Amulet swaying gently from his neck.
"Henry, you owe me a favour." Anastasia spoke, regal in her tone. "I helped you many years ago with reuniting you and your Lover, and now I need your help. Or rather, my friend needs your help." Henry cocked his head curiously, "Yes I remember... Thank you for that by the way. Me and Right are alot better now." Henry turned back to Reginald, "Now what do you need help with? I will help you in any way... As a Thank you to Anastasia."
"I... N-No! I'm not accepting this!! Anastasia you said you knew a spell to help me during my mission! Not once did you specify that it was a demon! What's going on?!"
Anastasia let out a sigh as she spoke "Reginald, the Wizard Council is a much stronger force then you can even begin to imagine. Not to mention that my spells and magic only go so far. But Henry here can help. His demon powers and your brain are the perfect combination in taking down those bastards."
Henry spoke up "If it makes you feel any better, I have unfinished business with those wizards. They almost took away my dear Righty all those years ago, so if you want help taking the council down, I can guaranteed my help to your cause, Mr Reginald."
Reginald was still in shock at having summoned a full blown demon. But hearing that they had a run in with the Wizard Council and wanted revenge just like he did made things slightly easier to deal with.
"Before I agree to accept your help, I want to verbally confirm that there isn't any hidden conditions or secret deals that I do not know about."
Reginald wanting to be absolutely sure about this, knowing how dangerous deals with demons were.
Henry just shrugged "No hidden voodoo, no backstabbing, nothing of the sorts. My services are yours to use until we take down Hubertus and the rest of the Wizard Council."
Reginald looked at Anastasia and then back at Henry, before letting out a sigh.
"I will accept your help Henry. Though I will need time to plan things before we do anything else."
Henry let out a squee, surprising Reginald and gaining a giggle from Anastasia.
And so the sorcerer who lost his coven and magic because of the wizard council, the witch that was on the run from them and a demon who wanted payback, started preparations to bring an end to the dreaded council.
Betting on Black au
Hey all! Mod Rosie here with a new au that I’ve had bubbling away in the back of my head for ages now and have finally shared with everyone! I’ve spent a ton of time ruminating over it, and I’m excited to have finally written it down for everybody to see.
There’s still some stuff I haven’t figured out, but I’m sure my fellow mods (and anyone who sends asks) can help me find an answer for it. Also, this is very long, so there’s a Read More for folks on mobile.
First off: This fic starts with Henry being dead!
Henry died by accident, with a curse placed on him by Joey being partially to blame for causing it. He’d laid a minor Bad Luck curse on Henry that hit/triggered at a terrible time.
(Stumbling or tripping him at the worst possible moment and him getting hit by something lethal. Joey had just wanted to inconvenience Henry for quitting/leaving the studio, but he'd had no idea that the curse could potentially cost Henry his life.)
Because 3 aus is never enough, here's a 4th. This is the Tainted Ink Au. It's gonna be a much darker, resident evil/silent Hill type take on the series. ((All drawn in my amazingly crappy art style. orz))
In this Henry is an eldritch abomination- er I mean an amalgamate. He's part human, part lost one, part ink demon.
Basically tho he's a wingless gargoyle. Which gives him the swaying gate he sports in game. I added the demon tail cause it's cute. ((I'm sorry I'm a girl in the end.))
He also has very big expressive eyes. Cause again. Cute. He's a cartoon, eternally youthful.
He's also a Hobbit.
So small! X3
Also on a side note; drawing Allison gives me life. She's like a demonic version of a pirate Tinker Bell. So fricken cute. Also her and Tom being a thing is adorable.
I drew a bunch of new enemy types, some KH level cute, others frankly horrifying
The little Bendy types are called Leapers, they can climb on walls and ceiling and jump incredibly far. They're very fast, but not that dangerous being more catlike. They steal stuff though. Which leads to poor Henry trying to lumber along after them through the studio and caves.
Crawlers are probably the grossest. They're legless ink monsters with skeletal faces with missing jaws and freakishly long fingers who drag themselves along the floor. They're pretty slow, like searchers, but can speed up dramatically when traveling through ink. They have terrifyingly strong grips and will grapple onto Henry, trying to pull him down into the ink to drown, or strangle him to death.
Diggers live in the cave system below JDS, and are completely blind and deaf. They search out prey via vibrations like the worms from tremors. In the pic you can only see their heads and long necks, they have more body underground and rarely ever fully surface. About the size of grizzly bears, they tunnel extremely fast and persue Henry doggidly as he traverses the caves.
The flyers are just a prototype flying enemy that will probably be scrapped for something scarier.
I also want to add in toothheads and wandering sins for more bendiesque monsters. Also plan to work on a nightmare Boris one.
The lore is that the monsters lack human souls, and so persue Henry and the others to kill them and take their souls. Demon Bendy is persuing Henry for this reason also. I'm still working on the finer details and wrestling with plot.
But lemme know what you think of it so far.
