(I need a name for this au 😭 I’m good at naming other peoples things but not my own idk why)
•I picture Simon’s realm being like the Fields of Asphodel. He hates the bureaucracy of being over a realm but he loves his people. He really only interferes when there’s someone causing issues
• After a while of being in Simon’s realm, he starts noticing small changes to his appearance. His teeth get a little sharper, ears a little pointed, and he starts having a mark show up starting on his fingertips and winds up his arms over top of his top surgery scars. He goes to ask Simon what it is and Simon tears up a little bit. Turns out the realm has accepted Grace as Simon’s chosen partner and has shown that by the mark
•Colt is in the au! Grace forgot about him due to Stratt’s sedation but Grace does remember him! When he does, he begs Simon to let him see his brother and sister-in-law. When Colt first sees Grace, he screamed because “Holy fuck you look different.” But after the initial jumpscare, Colt asks him what happened. All Grace can say is “So about that book I found helping you move…” and goes into a ramble about what happened.
• Grace does end up with wings after a while! I hc them as being like the SPN angel wings where they’re smoky in color normally but will sharpen to blades when he’s upset/scared. Stratt gets taken to the realm (idk how… magic bullshittery, Ava bringing her, SOMEHOW) and Grace goes to greet the new person. He doesn’t remember her (yet), but as he gets closer to her his feathers turn sharp and he gets a bad feeling. Later after Stratt is taken away, he gets assaulted with the memories of her telling him he was going on the Hail Mary and breaks down. Simon finds him in their room and comforts him
• Once Grace starts teaching again, there’s a trans masc kid (I’d say the kid is around 15-17 years old.. not really a kid but I’m 24 so a kid to me 😅) and is worried that he won’t be accepted. Grace and he bond and Grace asks (begs) Simon to get some binders for the kid. When Grace gives them to him, they both end up crying. Simon watches from a bit of a distance, giving the two space and ends up feeling paternal towards the kid and Grace and Simon basically adopt him.
