i despise drawing/designing/colouring/anything clothes but yk.
Been a while since my last DnD update, so I may do this in several parts.
So we traveled away from HSM, over to a town in which Ashur and Kalendra had actually helped the captain of the guards stage a coup. He had then betrayed us and had us carted off to some ruins and a whole buncha other stuff, but that’s before the reboot. Significantly though, this was the town in which Ashur gained his regeneration powers. Though since he still has no memory, he insisted we could just walk through the town.
So we started through and it was going okay, before he stopped to either help or question an old lady (been a while, don’t remember, not relevant which). At first she acted normal, then she BIT HIM. Suddenly the whole town goes kinda zombie and Redburn Ryan (guy who staged the coup) walks up, obviously recognizing Ashur, though Ashur still doesn’t recognize him. Basically everyone else books it for the gate at this point, because Redburn is saying really creepy things to Ashur and laughing maniacally and all the townsfolk are gathering ominously.
Kalendra of course doesn’t want to abandon her sorta-friend, so she summons her demon for consultation, and he just kinda freaks and disappears back into her armor until I decide to perform. With my new lute.
Whoo boy.
DM said before that it would metaphorically melt faces. Apparently in the heat of the moment he changed that to LITERALLY MELT FACES as long as they are low-level NPCs, because when Kalendra started rocking out, every townsperson’s face went gloop! and fell right off.
Everyone else managed to hold the gate long enough for us to get out though.
Yay?
