hmm, you could always go down the violent route, something like "the richer you become, the more you will have to pay in the blood of others". and with that you also have the fact that rich is not defined - rich in money, rich in love... the demon would have a blast coming up with something

like any future happiness. pretty much taking away the ability to feel the entire emotion.

Whuf, that’s bad. 

Like, she’s a chaos demon. who Eats terror for breakfast and despair for dessert. If you can’t feel happiness, or anything to offset that, then it won’t be despair anymore but just pain. And that would be a boring meal.

Am I making sense here?
