#9 Renewing the Mind
So what exactly is renewing the mind? Renewing the mind is doing the spiritual warfare needed to rid our souls of the demonic intrusion which has been there since we first sinned. Paul wrote in Roman 12:1-2, “I urge you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your (reasonable – King James) spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” In this passage we are asked to physically give our bodies to God as a service of worship. I used to think worship had to go with praise music. Now I know my reasonable and spiritual worship of God is to give Him my body. That is to be available to Him for His will to be done. Turn off the TV and spend time with Him. Talk to the person who needs a word in the store. Kneel down by the child in the wheel chair and pray for healing. And those possible actions will be most positive when my soul is freed from demonic intrusion so that the Holy Spirit may flow out of compassion to help those people. That’s what Jesus did! That’s what we are to do. And we are righteous and holy spirit beings who are acceptable!!
That can be accomplished by the renewing of the mind. That’s when we see the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. What is the will of God? It is what He wants to do!! Did you know He loves you so much, that He made the way for you to be free of the demons? Sit with Him and pray in the spirit language so the soul is quiet and lets the spirit of God through. Ask God what He wants to talk about. He loves to spend time with you. He will talk to you and tell you what you need to know. The Holy Spirit gives revelation which can include which demons are living in the hotel of your soul. He will give instruction on how to take authority over them in the Name of Jesus and will give the power to make them leave. He may take you back many years and help you tear down the old lies believed (strongholds) so that you may be single minded and be able to receive all God has for you. Then He will help you evict the liars behind the lies. I usually bind them in the Name of Jesus and send them to the dry places in the spirit and forbid them to return. Then I thank God for my freedom!
