@demonsummoning I think Ewan fucked up big time while thinking he was making them into better people somehow.

Because I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some resentment in there for both Marianne and Greg.

They see Logan giving his kids the world (they aren’t privy to how truly evil Logan is at this point) and Ewan withholds it from them for some reason.

I think in some ways there’s this “I’m a Roy too (even if not In name any longer) so I should be getting that too” line of thinking.

I feel like it would absolutely be different if Ewan just didn’t have the money because there wouldn’t be this resentment. Like I could see both of them wondering why they aren’t as worthy as the Roys? What’s so lesser about them?

He unknowingly set them up to be envious and jealous of his brother’s family and it makes sense they would be.

He’s also taught them to opportunistic and manipulative if need be to get what they need. (Love how Nic always emphasizes Greg is all about survival)

He has a lot further to fall than the Roys do if he fucks up. Desperation can make people dangerous.

Greg has everything to lose if he fails and no one to catch him. He’s going right back to where he was prior to s1 or worse now that Ewan cut them off.

But yeah I think that would make a world of difference and Ewan’s treatment of them is one of the main things that has molded Greg and Marianne into the people they are today.

Also it would probably be significantly different if Ewan could show even the smallest amount of affection for another human being who isn’t Pugh ajedjdj.
