Jeff Sessions Met with Russian Ambassador Kislyak Once in his office, and Once for a handshake at a Heritage Foundation event.  That’s It!  How many times is the media going to report this...???

We are over a year after the election, and the media is once again brushing the dust off this, like its all they have on this.  The American public can already see that the horse is dead, and the liberal media is still beating it.  But since there are fools in the media that feel the need to debate this again, I will clarify this non-trivial topic one more time.

At a July Heritage Foundation event, Jeff Sessions gave a speech.  It was attended by many foreign dignitaries and ambassadors.  At the conclusion of his speech, a small group of ambassadors approached Senator Sessions to exchange hellos.  The Russian Ambassador was one of them.  His contact with the Ambassador lasted minutes or probably even just seconds, and was in the presence of other ambassadors and staffers.  A very benign encounter.  When asked if he had met with Russians to collude on the presidential election, its no wonder he did not include this encounter in his disclosures.  What is note worthy, is who kept track of this encounter and made a point to call him out for not mentioning it.  Almost like someone knew this would be made an issue at a future date.  Hmmmmmm....???

The other encounter is a meeting in his office with Kislyak to discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine (something Obama basically refused to do anything about).  This was in September of 2016.  Senator Sessions met with about 30 foreign ambassadors during the month of September 2016.  It was his role as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee to conduct these meetings.  The meeting lasted about a half hour.  There were several staffers in the room.  After the meeting, it is reported that Kislyak asked Senator Sessions to lunch, an invitation that was declined by Senator Sessions. 

When Democrats began their search for Trump campaigners colluding with Russians, Sessions obviously knew he had not been involved in anything like that.  The fact is that Democrats were ready and willing to exploit any and all contact with Russians in their politically motivated witch hunt.  The Sessions example almost seems as if they had predisposed knowledge of these benign encounters, and hoped he would exclude them from disclosure.  Looks more like a set up by the Democrats, than collusion by the Trump campaign.  A set up that was enabled by the Obama intelligence community, and Obama admin at the highest level.  

You can report it over and over again, but the facts remain the same.
