gardenia; what’s a promise you’ve recently made to yourself?

To be kinder to my body in 2019 and to try to be healthier in my habits but it's not going too well. If you're looking to do the same, quitting things cold turkey does not help.

I have two that I use as mottos for myself. "It doesn't matter where we came from, what matters is where we go from here" by Lewis Carroll (I think) because I like to remind myself that even though it's been crappy for 15 years doesn't mean I don't still have a shot at my dreams. I also like, "And stop digging it up or we're never gonna / See it all in bloom" from "In Bloom" by Neck Deep because it allows me to remind myself that I need to stop dwelling on the past in order to flourish.

Oh!!!! The Merciless by Danielle Rollins (super gory and disgusting but good Lord it's fucking amazing), and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

I'm embarrassed by the fact that I still read fan fiction. I'm not really super into shipping, but there's a writer I really love and I can't tell you who it is because the content is embarrassing but I honestly just read it because she's an amazing writer and I used to read it when I was into shipping but now I'm just in it for the writing.

The last dream I remember having is my ex had managed to hunt me down and we got into a huge argument bc I wanted him back and I was done with his shit and I slapped him across the face and called him a fake edgy bitch. Super gratifying.

I honestly don't know. Like, I can't even come up with one that I might think would qualify.
