Village Fayre and Wagamamas x This week Mark had the week off work so we managed to spend some time together as a family as well as being able to do some grown up stuff (sofa shopping) without too much drama! We started the week by going to our village summer party. We wander down every year, it's very family friendly and 'old school village'. There are dog shows, coconut throwing, crockery smashing, archery, animal petting and tonnes of local stalls. Spence was definitely loving the crockery smashing! We met Spencer's best friend Max there as he also lives in our village and it was cute watching them play together. We had typical British weather on the day- the day started off bright and sunny then at 11am we had torrential rain which made us rethink our village fayre plans! The rain stopped at about 11:30 so we resumed our plans and thought it would be better to walk down to the fayre. Once we got there, the weather turned cold and windy, then after a while returned to sunny. We decided to walk home mid afternoon and of course, we had torrential rain on the journey home! I think our weather is menopausal! During one of the days downpours we all ran for the circus skills tent which provided us cover. It turned out to be amazing! There were so many props to practice circus skills and the guy who ran it gave demonstrations on how to use them. You could do tightrope walking, use stilts, plate spinning, juggling and tonnes more! Unfortunately I pretty much failed at them all! We decided to end the day with a family dinner to Wagamamas where I found my new favourite dish!
