Sketchtember 11th! My friend Dennis sent me a gift. His comic Tales From the Sixth Sun!! It's so good and it feels like only yesterday when we were at RISD together and I saw the early sketches of this world and these amazing characters. To see it as a comic book is amazing and so inspiring. I did a small sketch of the protagonist, Topaz for today's daily drawing. Sidenote: one of my favorite Dennis memories is playing x-men legends for hours on end. Hi, do you have any recommendations for books about alchemy, mythology or outdated ideas of cosmology, with penwork illustrations and diagrams? I especially love the etchings from Renaissance texts on the great chain of being. I'm very interested in these subjects and love to compare styles of ancient and mystic symbols.

I can't think of any titles off hand but our Dibner Library of the History of Science and Technology is a great place to start your search!
